Liquid Crystal Display (LCD) screens use less energy and display a clearer picture than the Cathode Ray Tube (CRT) displays that preceded them. These new LCD screens now dominate the computer monitor market. From time to time, however, pixels can become stuck and a green line can display on the screen. Removing this line is sometimes possible without sending the screen to the manufacturer for expensive repair.
Locate the pixels that are stuck on the screen. Download a free screen repair software program, such as UD Pixel or JScreenFix. Run the software and allow it to find and attempt to repair the stuck pixels. Turn off the LCD monitor. Apply the damp cloth directly over the stuck pixels and use a gentle pressure to spread the liquid within the screen. the resolution might be too high for the CRT monitor, try to lower the resolution if your going to connect the CRT monitor..., the 22 inc monitor obviously have much higher resolution that the 15" crt monitor. i think the max for that is 1024x800.. hope this helps :)
If you are sure its not a stain. then its a dead pixel on your monitor.. sooner or later it will spread out. To be sure if its a dead pixel, run your monitor in different colors, black screen, green, red and blue.. If the spots stays then its dead pixel.. You will be replacing the lcd when time comes that it spreads out.
restrat your computer then press continue F8 key untill u get menu
then go to enable vga mode or safe mode or last known god configuration. set your display resolution in display properties to 1024*768 pixel then try.
It's seems you had a stuck pixal... Turn your monitor off and try this tips: Wn't work in every case. It may take a few attempts to make sure you are pressing exactly on the dead pixel. These instructions will fix "stuck" pixels, not "dead" ones, like red, blue or green. An alternative, but similar technique involves gently massaging the stuck pixel with a warm damp soft cloth.Alternative technique to tapping: Using a rounded pencil eraser, push with moderate pressure into screen at stuck pixel.
Good lucks!
