Question about Sony BRAVIA KLV-S40A10 40 in. HD-Ready LCD Television
I believe my son may have hit my screen with something, because the picture will not show up when I turn it on. There are lines all over the screen and a spot in the bottom left hand corner of the screen with "spider lines" coming out in all directions like it was hit. My question is, can this be fixed? The television is brand new and I have not had any other problems with it. I was stupid however, and did not purchase a warranty. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thank you, Susan
You can have them repaired using a TV Repair guy but often it costs as much as a brand new plasma. My daughter broke my $1,600 LCD. It would have cost $1,200 to fix.. so I just bought a new one. After that I picked up a TV screen protector called TV Armor http://www.tv-armor.com Its designed to protect the TV from damage. Now I dont have to worry anymore when she is playing near it. It works really well.

I have a Sony Bravia KDL-40V2500 that is almost 1 year old. My daughter hit the screen hard with her elbow and I've got the same thing; a mostly dark screen with a few vertical color lines, a circle of light where the impact occurred with spider lines. I'm not sure if its repairable either just searching now to see if it can be fixed.
