I have an RCA 50 something inch projection set that is about 10 yrs old. I had a cable outage this morning and now that the cable is back on the cable box says STANDBY. I called the cable company who tells me it's the TV that is on standby. I disconnected the cable box and still the TV does not turn on. I've tried unplugging the set for a few minutes but still no luck. I changed the batteries in the remote and that did not help. I tried to turn on the set on the TV itself, still nothing. The cable box is still saying STANDBY. All other TV and cable boxes in the house are working. Is my TV dead? I cannot find the model number of my set on the TV or in the maual so I am assuming it is the same model I picked from your drop down box below.
No your set would not be like the HD52W19 model ,your model number is on back of tv year,chassis & Model # being 10 yrs old ptk195 model------- older Rca ptk169 these sets are 16yrs old.My guess without hands on chassis Bad Flyback Transfomer.
