My TV won't turn on. The Green light just keeps on flashing

My son tried plugging in his x-box to the tv, but couldn't get it to work. Watched t.v. for the rest of the evening. In the morning the t.v would not turn on. Green power light flashes but never comes on. I can hear sound, but no picutre. I saw the solutions from the same previous problems, but sounds greek to me. I unplugged everything and plugged back in. Now when I turn on the tv the green light stays on for about 30 seconds and then starts flashing for 30-60 seconds then goes off

    Please help.

1. Check for no 8.4 volts DC at pin 3 of PC9A10 on the Power PCB, if low or missing replace PC9A10 part # 268P058020. 2. LED does not blink at plug in. Check for 3.3-volts DC at connector RF pin 3 (system reset) if low or missing suspect the reset switch S7L20 part # 432P109010 on the Control PCB. 3. LED does not stop blinking after plug in. Verify the standby supplies, 12-volts at connector KA pin 17, 6-volts at KA pin 18 and the 28-volts at KA pin 19, if the supplies are present suspect the DM PCB part # 934C067002 4. LED does not stop blinking after plug in. Check C9B01, C9B02, C9B10, and C9B11 (1000 UFD 16) on the DM PCB, if they are bad replace them with part # 181P734030 (680 UFD 16 V). 5. LED stops blinking after 70 seconds of plug in but will not power on. This model is equipped with a keyboard lock feature; this can be mistaken as a no power condition. To unlock the keyboard press and hold the "menu" button on the front panel for 10 seconds 6. LED stops blinking after 70 seconds of plug in but will not power on. Check for 3.2 volts DC at connector RF pin 4 and 5 on the Signal PCB if low suspect problems with the switches/buttons on the Control PCB part # 935D736001 7. LED stops blinking after 70 seconds of plug in but will not power on. Keyboard is not locked and key inputs at connector RF pin 4 and 5 check good suspect the E2P PCB part # 934C061001

Hi, we just experienced the same problem you had with the same model and were wondering if you ever found a solution. Please let me know at [email protected] We unplugged the TV for a lightning storm and it won't turn on, just that annoying flashing green light. Would greatly appreciate any input. Thanks!

Can't turn on the TV. Green light keeps blinking.

You need to change the four capacitors C9B01,C9B02,C9B10,C9B11 all 1000 MFD 16 VOLT (on the DM board which is inside the metal shield standing upright on the left looking from the back of the set)The tops of the capacitors will look puffed out making them easy to find. This is your HD tuner digital board which is trying to reboot but can't - when the green light stops blinking after a minute, than you can power on your TV.

The green light on front of tv keeps flashing and tv wont turn on

Howdy,

The green light blinking indicates your TV has a problem. The problem is that each Brand of TV has different codes and with out the Brand and Model number, I can not help you at this time.

Please, count blinking sequence. Model number will be on back of TV.

Recap : Provide Model Number, Brand and Count Blinks.

First though; unplug TV from power source for 3-5 minutes then plug TV & box back into a/c outlet.

Good Luck, BIG IRISH.

Tv cuts off and green light flashes

Yup, it seems a lamp problem can give a blinking green light over the 10 times (1 - 10 times for diagnostic codes), but in my case rather than replace the bulb if it works for a minute then resets with the green light blinking, do what I did.
Take the lamp out and inspect it, it has breather screens top and bottom, if it cant breath because there clogged with dust, clean them, and you can remove the screens, use q-tips and clean the inside. I saved the cost of a lamp and it's working fine!
