Transfer scan settings from one computer to another?

Can you transfer scan settings from a Canon DR-6080 on one computer to a computer with a Canon DR-7580? (We've got WinXp Pro and are not using the software that came with the scanner. -The same scan dialog box that appears before scanning in the software that came with the scanner, opens up in our other program, so that's not an issue. We just need a fast way to get a bunch of settings from the one computer to the other.)

Thanks

You need to do it only once! Capture perfect remembers the previous setting. If you install Capture perfect in another system it will be only in the defalut mode. You cannot transfer the settings

DR-6080 not recognised after reloading Windows 7 (32-bit) on laptop. Re-installed latest driver (says Win7 supported) successfully but still won't work, Anything?

Disconnect the scanner from the computer. Uninstall driver software, shut down and restart the Comp. Reinstall the driver. (http://software.canon-europe.com/software/0036991.asp?model= ). connect the scanner and the system will report USB device plugged in. This should work.

Hi - When scanning documents on a Canon DR 6080 the scan comes out in all black. I have cleaned the glass and rollers etc.

Check if the brightness setting is manual or Automatic. Try different levels of brightness. Do you have the same problem on both sides?

I have a canon 6080 scanner. getting a error "no

Clean the two 'black dots' in the paper tray, just under the roller. They are actually paper sensors. Try 'page counting'. If this works, the scanner is okay. If the problem still persists, try reloading the scanning software.

My canon 6080 leaves a thin black line on everypage scanned. is there a way to fix this?

Clean the glass thoroughly with a damp cloth. Dont use solvents. Check if the glass is scratched, if scratched you may need to replace it.

Canon dr 6080 scanner is getting papers but i dont know where the scanned images are being saved and whether being saved or not?

What scanning software are you using? Once you initiate scan command, the software will ask for location (and format) where you want to save the files. After scanning, try & use 'Save as' command, by default it will go to where it is already saved. Alternatively, search for the file name under Windows.

How locate and transfer job registration tool data for new installation

There are 2 methods:

1) On the existing PC, start the Job registration tool, click the "Administrators" button (on the bottom of the dialog), then click the "Backup" button in the dialog that appears. This will save a registry file that you can then transfer to the new PC.

2) Use regedit to browse to the
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Canon Electronics Inc.\DR-1210C-JobTool
branch. Save this branch to a file, then transfer it to the new PC.

Cheers!

Dr 6080 4401 error code

Wht happens after the comp displays 4401 error? Does the system hang? If you can still use the comp, then forget it. Frankly I have not faced this error. But freak errors like these can be seen even if your OS files are damaged. Try reinstalling the OS in another partition. If the scanner works fine in the new environemnt, you can be sure that some files are damaged.
