My bafo BF2010 is not working... i need help.
it doesn't have any whacked up part... (burned, or swollen capacitors)
the fan is working... green lamp is ok when i switch off and the red light when on.
Im using the USB port connected on a winxp computer
the Jack is OK (I have 2)
the problem is that i never have response from my computer that a new hardware is connected. (no notice or anything.)
I also have a BAFO BF-2010. I'm looking for the drivers and have
sleuthed the file names, so you or others can try and track it down. If I
find a site I'll comment again with answer.
Bafo BF-2010 drivers
I have mine, it works well but in a very slow data transfer. I looks like it is made for the very first version of USB, I havent tried the firewire yet. Try to go to add new hardware and install the driver that comes with the package. I am also using windows xp.

The BF-1284 driver (zip file) is available from BAFO support: http://www.bafo.com/menu-support.asp . Scroll down the list to the desired product. The driver is for Win98se and Windows Me. You shouldn't need a separate driver for Win7; the drivers should be in the OS. (See the link on Windows 7 compatibility near the top of the URL given above.) I suspect the driver should also be available in the OS for XP.
If your computer doesn't find the driver automatically, check if the driver is listed in Windows Update as optional updates. (You may have to manually check for updates.)
here is a linkt to the BAFO support site the drivers listed for your USB serial adapter the driver is listed for XP, Vista and Windows 7. As SP3 came out before Windows 7 I think the driver will be compatible with XP SP3
thnaks for your concern , i remove my HD and add it as second IDE on my PC.
For the BAFO BF-2010 Storage Cabinet i found it not useful becase this is not the only problem i have, as it also detect 1 partition only so i decided not use it any more
