Question about Hitachi CP-X880 Multimedia Projector

Open Question

Church Projector We are using a Kramer switching board that outputs to our Hitachi projector. We want to add the output to the monitors in the ceiling as well. The Kramer has only one output. We tried running it through a monitor multiplier using the signal from the Kramer as the input. The TV monitors looked fine, but the projector had multiple images. Plugged the projector back into the Kramer and all was wellexcept no signal to the TV monitors. Any suggestions? Thanks!

Hi Steve Coulter, have you thought about cascading the video from the rgb output port of the projector into your monitor multipier and then to the monitors.
you may need to convert rgb back to vga to achive this ?

hi there,
I have just done the exact same thing today. Press menu button on projector. Scroll (navigate) to the mirror option. This give you the options to mirror image left to right or up and down.
This should fix any of your problems.

Our projector shows a blue background and does not seem to be connecting to the computer

Several things to check.
Make sure both the input selection on the projector is for PC and make sure the PC output selection is for the external output, as in an external monitor. The PC does not care or need to know that the external output is a monitor or projector.
If none of these works, try a different cable and output on both the laptop and projector ie, Switch from PC output to a DVI or HDMI.

Samsung hitachi sync out of range

take the blue ray disk out, turn your blue ray on and connect to a tv monitor, go to menu, and for hdmi option select 720p then reconnect your hdmi cable to the projector, it should come on, go back to menu, and match the input of the projector to the right type hdmi output from your blu-ray.
there is nothing wrong with your projector.

I am not getting any signal between my laptop and my projector. it is connected with a vga cable

You may need to turn on your laptops external VGA output. The easiest way is to reboot the laptop whilst connected to the projector whioch shoud be powered up.

If that doesn't work then look for the "Fn" key, usually blue or green on the botton left of the keyboard and hold it down whilst you press the "F" key (ie on the function row) which has a monitor icon in a matching colour. It may also say LCD, or CRT. This should cycle through available monitor output options, it will take a few seconds to complete the setup after each press.

Laptop connected to projector get initial message "no signal" then projector continually searches through video, computer 1 and computer 2 - what do I do?

Make sure that you have enabled the 2nd screen output from the laptop. It sounds like there is no signal at the input of the projector. You can check this by connecting a monitor to the 2nd output of the laptop. Often you have to press one of the function keys (F5 possibly) to enable the 2nd screen from a laptop.

When I switch on the projector,VGA searching appears and I cannot remove it and consequently I am unable to project my DVD on the computer I have pressed re synch but it does not make any difference .

What input are you using and what is your input source? If you are using your computer as a source, you need to sync up output display resolution with projector resolution. Also check to make sure that you are outputting through VGA out on PC, particularly if it is laptop. You need to change display settings for dual or second monitor output.

My projector does not show any picture, only show blue screen, does the lamp need replacement an if it does how it will cost

If you are seeing the blue screen at startup, then the issue is more than likely not the lamp. What is your input source and what inputs are you connecting to?

If you are using a laptop PC, note that the VGA output by default is not active. You have to go into display settings and change it to dual monitor for VGA output to work.

With the vpl cs 7 can two computers be run off the projector at the same time as the projector has two ports.

this manual will tell you if you can or not but with most projectors it will not show both the computers at once but you could have both pluged in and switch between computers,

I can't project my image from my laptop to the projector..

A usb cable will not work that way--on your projector, it's used for need to obtain a monitor cable which will plug into the vga connector on the laptop and into the connector on the projector (rgb in 1) or (rgb in 2) If you use the #2 rgb input, make sure the button IS NOT pushed in! If it is, the projector will be switched to OUTPUT mode on the #2 connector. Also, on the laptop, normal operation is "laptop only"...when you push the <alt F4> buttons, it should then switch to "laptop + external display(projector)", another <alt F4> push will give "external display only" mode. Then, another push will return you back to "laptop only". NOTE: Sometimes, you have to turn on the projector first, then immediately turn on the laptop--not to get technical but different equipment can get finicky about syncing up...just something to be aware of...

No input on RGB1, etc.

First find someone you know who has a working unit, just to make sure you don't have a problem with your PC output or the cable so you KNOW you have signal at the input.
If no signal then, make sure your input is "configured" correctly in the user menu.
I would have to think your VGA input board on the projector is faulty but let me know what you find.
