Fax machine error

When a document jam occurs, "J" and "1" will display alternately on the function number display panel of the scanner.Please perform the following:

1. Remove all documents from the ADF paper chute.
2. Open the ADF while pressing down the ADF open lever. If you are using fi-6130 with the imprinter option attached, please open the imprinter and then open the ADF.
3. Remove the jammed papers from the ADF.
4. Close the ADF pushing the center part of the ADF carefully.

If document jams occur frequently, please check the followings:

1. Do the documents satisfy paper specification?

2. Have the documents been jogged?

• Align the edge of documents for stable paper feeding.

• Remove documents with crease or dog-ear.

• Scanning different width of documents may cause skew and result in paper jam.

3. Are Chuter Unit (ADF paper chute),Guide P ASSY (Sheet guide), Feed roller cover (plate guide) and Brake roller cover installed correctly?

4. Clean the Feed rollers, Eject rollers,Plastic rollers, glass surface and paper feeding surface, and see if the error is

resolved.

5. Replace Pick roller or Brake roller, and see if the error is resolved.Check the consumable counter from the TWAIN driver screen or from the built-in Maintenance mode. When the counter exceeds the values, replace Pick roller or Brake roller.
6. If the issue still persists, then you are recommended to contact the nearest Fujitsu service center for further assistance.

The code is for the fixing roller reaching its upper limit. After replacing the fixing roller the counter needs to be reset in service mode

E008 0001 fixing roller life detection error

Description: The reading of the fixing roller life counter has reached its upper limit
Remedy: Turn off the main power, and replace the fixing roller or the fixing assembly;
then, set '0' to the following in service mode: COPIER>COUNTER>MISC>FX-UPRL.

did you try to clean the rollers?

Check the following items:
1 Does the document satisfy the paper specification?
2 Clean the Feed rollers and the Plastic rollers and see if the error is resolved.
3 Replace the Pick roller and the Brake roller and see if the error is resolved. Check the consumable counter in the software operation panel or in the built-in Maintenance mode. When the counter exceeds the values, replace the Pick roller or the Brake roller.
4 Are the cables between the Control PCA and the Feed motor damaged? Are the connectors connected properly?
5 Is the Optical unit ADF installed correctly?
6 Is the Belt ADF installed correctly?
7 Is the Belt ADF damaged?
8 Replace Feed motor and see if the error is resolved.
9 Replace the Optical unit ADF and see if the error is resolved.
10 Replace the ADF unit and see if the error is resolved.

machine error 46 means that your printer's purge unit has reached its counter limit and needs replacing, the reason i say this is because your machine has done alot of work and parts will be warn in your m/c, if you just reset the counter you will end up with ink througout your machine, normally when your printer is up for a purge unit its better to get a new machine with new cartridges and a 12 month warranty and no wear.

Most of the scanner shows an error and sometimes it wont work because the feed roller counter reaches it life. You might have to replaced the rollers otherwise you can reset the counter by going the the web browser of the machine and look for feed roller counter reset. Then it will start again. Hope this will help.

Roll the large gray roller backwards a few times,

The BRACKET that holds the roller may be broken,

First try reseting the unit by holding the * key and the enter button and the same time turn it on until it starts beeping. This will rest the machine. If this does not work. you need ADF rollers the can be purchased for 20 to 25 bucks
