I wonder does your screen flash on and off or does the picture just go away? If it flashes on and off it may be that the power supply has a component that has to heat up to work or a loose connection that finally makes contact.
The same thing would happen if the picture just goes away except that a component somewhere in the video circuit could be loose or a capacitor has lost its value and regains it with temperature.
There are a number of things that could cause this problem. This is only a few of them.

It can be a couple things. Something bad on the power board. Or the vertical output circuit. How long ago did you purchase the television. Your best course of action is to have it serviced. If you need any information or other assistance let me know. Thanks, Lee
Try to finde lose connection/ cold solder joint at board attached at end of picture tube. It seems heater/ filament voltage not being supplied to picture tube after a while and picture goes to black.
