I received a Lexar MP3 player as a promo offering when purchaing Bose headphones. The player workered twice and now reports "Incorrect format, reformat player". I can not find a way to reformat this player. Seems Lexar does not have support for this and nothing came with the Bose headphones. Any suggestions?

Re: Lexar MP3 player
Connect the device in Storage Device (USB Mass Storgae) Mode and then format the storage disc to FAT
you can use the DOS command:
format X: /fs:fat
where X: is the storage disc drive letter.

when i plug in my lexar ldp-200 mp3 player, the screen on it says usb connecting, and it detects on my pc (winXP), but it asks for driver, and i do not have it on my pc, and it isnt on microsoft update, please help
The solution is correct. I emailed [email protected] and received an email the next day with a firmware patch that reformatted my player.
Just an FYI, this did NOT work under Vista and since I had an XP media center laptop sitting next to me I didn't play with it. On the XP system it worked flawlessly. I ended up with a fully functional MP3 player again, nothing in the folder at all and it only took a minute.
Send them an email and I would expect you'd get a response within 1-2 business days. As mentioned, my response was within 18 hours.
I also have the same problem with my mp3 player. Mine also came with my Bose QC2 headphones. My mp3 player is blue instead of red.
