The blade bolt is normally 9/16, you will need a good socket and long tommy bar to remove the bolt, an impact wrench will take it out very quickly if you have or can borrow one,

Dave, Remove plug wire, raise mower, or tilt on it's side to access blade. Remove center bolt holding blade on, noting the position so as not to install new blade upside down. Install new blade correctly and tighten blade bolt tight. Check the attached links,instruction and guides, Good luck

hello, To keep the shaft or trimmer head from turning when trying to remove the bump knob or blade insert a screwdriver in the slot on the other side of the head and remove bump knob or blade,hope this helps,~~
you need to lift up on the knob to loosen the spindle and remove/install the blade. To install the blade you might need to turn it some and push up and when it is straight then you need to turn the knob while holding up on it till it is snug and then push the knob down.

If the saw doesn't have a locking mechanism for changing the blade then you will have to jam a piece of wood in the teeth of the blade so that it cannot turn. Remember safety first. Remove the OPC drum unit,remove the OPC drom and change the cleaning blade(fixed 2 screws).Normally if you change the OPC drum change automatically the OPC cleaning blade.
Remove drum unit, remove Drum, remove blade (2 screws) ** coat the new blade with some toner, or it will flip, when the drum start to turn, due to the friction. And always manually rotate it yourself prior to re-installation to make sure it is ok
remove the blade guard, should be a big nut holding on blade remove that nut install new blade, make sure the rotation arrow on your new blade is going same direction as old blade reinstall the big nut and washer , put guard back on you should be set! good luck
