If you're getting this message during the POST and there are IDE drives then chances are you haven't configured the drives correctly. To correctly configure two drives on an IDE channel you need to either: - have one drive set as Master (using jumpers on the back of the drive) and the other as Slave OR - have both set as Cable Select (CS) with the appropriate cable. If you are unsure how to proceed look at your original drive and let us know how the jumpers are currently set.

Operating system cannot install

Hello try to download a manual from here:

http://us.msi.com/product/mb/KM4M-L.html#/?div=Manual

Check the bios (boot) settings. Press the delete button when you boot.
First boot device:Cd/dvd and second the harddrive
The hard drive must be set as master (by the jumper)
The cd/dvd drive must be set as slave.
Check also the ide cable for fault.
Does the bios see the drive ???

The drivers are here:

http://us.msi.com/product/mb/KM4M-L.html#/?div=Driver&os=All

Download the drivers for your windows system
All the file must be unziped before you install

How do i go do a factory restore

You will need to get a Windows installation CD for the version of windows designed for your computer first.

Second you can download all your drivers for your motherboard before you format your hard drive and install windows.

Hi I'm having problems installing windows 7 on my computer I think it may have something dealing with my motherboard I m running a MSI P55M-GD41 mother board with intel i5-661 processor and 4GB of 2 2GB...

One bad lead will cause your computer to shut down or continue in a cycle
replace all the leads that attach to your hard drive including electrical extensions + IDE,SATA and the ones that attach from your motherboard to your hard drive
hope this helps

Not make instal xp new hard drive "seagate baracuda 7200.12 ST3500418AS, and my motherboard dont see hard for instal

It seems you are saying that the board will not see the new hd.
You need the instructions for the hard drive and the mother board to install the SATA drive.
Some motherboards may need to have the bios upgraded, if it can.
Others are too old.
