Question about Olympus Camedia C-310 Zoom Digital Camera

1 Answer

Write protect My camera was fine yesterday and I turned it on this morning to take a photo and a blue screen with red words 'write-protect' appeared. When I look back at previous photos there is a little green key in the top right corner. I have tried to go to the mode menu but it won't let me scroll up to click on the key. I think the camera is locked but I don't know how I can unlock it. please help!

Just open the card cover and press quick view and ok at the same time, and reset the camera. if that don´t solve it may need to replace the mainboard

hi there, have you pressed the DISP button (see red line above) or REVIEW button (blue line) yet??
if there`s still nothing appear on the LCD, i assume the LCD connector from the body is broken
you can claim it to be repaired to the store you bought it from, since the warranty still valid
hope this post will help

"Communication Error" when trying to upload photos

Try NOT connecting your camera to your computer.

The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo cataloging program such as Picasa.

Blank screen

Did you accidentally hit the lower left "Display" button on the back of your camera? It manually turns the screen on or off to save batteries. Turn the camera on and press it once to check.
