White screen, won't turn off, buttons don't work

I was uploading music onto my Sansa and it stopped on one file because it said it couldn't upload (something about the file not being authorized). I disconnected my Sansa and it had a white screen. I tried connecting it again and tried turning it off, but none of the buttons seem to work. When I connect it, it doesn't even show up on the computer. I am kind of worried that it does't work because I have important voice records on there that I can't lose! Does anyone know what I can do? Thanks ahead of time...

Sansa clip music uploads but I can't locate it on clip

MP3 players can only play music files in mp3 file format. You can download mp3 music files from the Internet toyour computer and then copy them to your MP3 player using the USB cable. For your CD collection, you need to convert your CDs tomp3 music files onto your computer or download them from the Internet and thencopy them to your MP3 player after you have connected the USB cable tothe MP3 player and the computer.
You can do this using Windows Media player and Rip the CDs - Media Player willcreate a MP3 music file for each music track.Click on this link for instruction on converting musicfiles to mp3 file format :- http://www.fixya.com/support/r5798418-creating_transferring_mp3_music_files

you can fix the problem by having the original sansa files when you format it it deletes everything

Trouble seeing nonmusic files.

Not sure if this will help, but you could try a couple things:
1. Search for it. There should be a search option somewhere in the explorer window or on the start menu. If you know the name of the .rar file, you can search the mp3 player for it.
2. Go to your Control Panel -> Folder Options. Under the tab "view" make sure "Show hidden files and folders" is checked.

Anyway, that's what I would try first.

Infinite folders and inability to play music

You need to reinstall the firmware, which can be found on Sansa's site. If this is not an option, which it likely is NOT, you need to send the device out via the MFG warranty, or just send it to the MFG. If you look into the files on this device, it has a VERY VERY bad history with performance on this site. I hope this helps! problem solved!
