Sony Trinitron Flat Screen 15" TV - Sound not working, image pauses every 5 seconds
I have a small Sony Flat Screen TV that I haven't used for almost a year. Just tried to watch a dvd tonight and every 4 to 5 seconds the image pauses, then all audio voices are muffled. Sounds a a man speakling very slowly.

for about 30 seconds then goes to the self-diagnosis function.
Something is wrong with the video. Check video out, Q705, 732, 761
and other components on the C board, also check Q218, 219, 220 on
the A board. In addition, unit could be in IK blanking, try turning
up screen slightly.
Hi, This is picture tube related problem and we call it incorrect white balance. Adjust Screen Volts of picture tube and control knob wold be located on flyback transformer. If you have knowledge about tv and know that tv contains high voltage and you can take care of that then do it yourself or ask local tv repairman to fix it. Thanks.
This may be a vertical circuit problem. IC1509 is usually the vertical IC. If you can solder, I would first try an resolder the pins on this IC. If that fails to resolve it, replace the IC. This IC is a small flat IC attached to a heat sink with about 11 pins. It will be marked LA7837 or something similar. Feel free to post the marking and I'll confirm you have the correct IC.
