Re: Broken water line
Please repost with more description as to where the line is cut. Do you know if it's the line for the ice maker or is it the line for the door water, etc.? How long is the cut? Can you see the cut in order to repair it or is it deep inside the cabinet?
It is usually easy to "fish" a new plastic line in but there is normally enough slack to cut out the damaged part and use a quick connect to splice the line back.

Order a new line for your model and use the old line to pull it through the door. Cut the head of a screw off and use it to connect the old line to the new water line to help pull it through.
Hello, Thank You for using FixYa. I will be helping you today. You can replace the whole water line or cut out the broken section and use a coupler to connect the hose where you cut out the damaged section. You just push each end into the coupler and your done.
you can get the line or the coupler here http://www.repairclinic.com/Whirlpool-Refrigerator-Hose-Tube-Or-Fittings-Parts

The connector is a push on . Push in on the ring , while pulling out on the broken plastic line . Cut the end of the existing line , and just push into the connector snugly . Uses no glue or adhesive .
if there is enough line cut the broken piece and connect a union right there. if not the line through door needs to be replaced. it shouldnt be too hard to replace.
refrig's only use 5/16 or 1/4" dia. lines. you can cut and splice the broken line if you can find a 5/16" X 5/16" quick disconnect coupler. homedepot only carries 1/4'. try your local plumbing store.
Cut off a piece of line and go to a good hardware store, they can show you how to fix it. Need a coupling, and a nut and ferrel. House water line goes on one end of coupling, nut and ferrel on the broken water line on fridge. A good hardware store will be able to show you how to fix.
Remove the toe kick, on the t side you will see a connector where two water lines meet, if the water is leaking there, push the two lines into the connector and then pull back on them to make sure they are sealed. test to see if it still leaks, if it does push the red or blue ring around the line in, while doing that pull the line out of the connector, repaet for the opposite side. use a razor or sharp knife and cut about a half inch off each line, make sure they are flat, push them back into the connector, and pull to seal, if it still leaks replace the connector. If the wateer is coming out of the freezer door replace the water line that goes through the door.
