thank you very much
I had the same problem with mine, first it was just the black and then nothing would print. I just happened upon this site and it was a HUGE help www.maxpatchink.com. I copied and pasted a protion of it here. I did this and sure enough mine had come off. Now I can print again. The problem I am looking to fix now is that the quality of my printing in "Draft or Text" is not up to standard.
The CX6600 is known for.................
Attention:If are having problems with sudden lack of inkflow after replacing one or more cartridges when using the Epson C and especially the CX all-in-one printers, we have been made aware of a design issue on these printers which may cause this problem.
Some of these Epson printers have a design flaw which causes the ink purge tube under the cleaning station to come apart during cartridge replacement. If this occurs, the printer is no longer transferring the vacuum from the purge pump to the printhead. In other words, no ink will be moved through the printhead onto the paper.
You need to look under the cleaning station and determine if the pump/vacuum tube has come off, and if so, reinstall it. Click here for pictures to identify this problem and help you resolve it.
NEVER leave your Epson printer without an installed cartridge, even an empty one, for more than half an hour. The ink will begin to gel in the built-in print head to the consistency of honey! It will require multiple head cleaning routines to clear (if it does).
I can sympathize with your problem. I spoke to an "honest" sales rep at a leading electronics store and he suggested to clean the nozzles with a high concentration of rubbing alcohol, something on the order of 90%.
Don't know if this will help but I thought I'd mention it anyway.

there is a tool to reset the print counter on epson ink cartridge chips, but this tool can only be obtained when you are an authorised service provider for epson. and even then it is not advised to use it, since resetting these chips can cause damage to your printer's system board, the replacement of which costs almost as much as the price for a new printer of the same model.
do this with a little bit of care, put your mouth on the little hole on the side of the cartridge while covering the other one the on the same side and ~blow~ some strong air in just enough to get the ink out of the nozzles.
if that does not work, next time save money and get you a refill kit like this from amazon.com ( I don`t work for them)
Try taking a new cartridge out and shaking it ( with your finger over the hole that the ink comes out) and then put it back in. Also make sure that the tape that is over some cartridges' printing area has been removed.

if you left your printer for two weeks or more without using, the print heads may be stuffiness. In this case (aparently yours cases) you must take your printer to a authorized service, they will can clean (with a proper fluid) or replace the ink heads, if cleaning is not possible.
