I have a problem with the n200 when it turns on. WhenI turn the device on it shows Creative then muvo. After it shows both of those titles it turns off. It takes sooo long to turn on. I have to keep attempting to turn the thing for about a half hour before it turns on. What shoud I do?

Re: A problem with turning on . . .
This firmware upgrade only works with Creative MuVo Micro N200 players.
Do not install this upgrade to other players.
You will lose all content in your player when you install the firmware.
Back up any audio or data files in your player to your computer before
upgrading the firmware.
Before installing the firmware, please complete the following procedures:
Download the latest device driver if you have not installed any drivers
for your player. The file name is MStorage_PCDRV_LB_1_07_00_250.exe.
Connect your player to your PC.
Close all active applications (for example, Internet Explorer, Windows
Explorer, or Windows Media Player etc), as well as background applications
such as Norton anti-virus applications.
Double click on the file MStorage_PCDRV_LB_1_07_00_250 to
install it. Follow the instructions on the screen.
To install the firmware for your player, follow the procedures below:
Connect your player to your PC if it is not already connected.
Double click the firmware upgrade file.
When prompted to set your player in Recovery mode, disconnect
your player from your PC.
Remove the battery from the player, press and hold the Play button
while connecting the player to the USB port.
Continue to hold the Play button for about 10 seconds after
your player is connected to the USB port.
When the Find New Hardware dialog box appears on your PC screen,
release the Play button.
If this is the first time a player is installed as Player Recovery
Device, Windows will find a Player Recovery Device (or USB Device),
and prompt you for drivers. Click on No , and select Do
not search. I will choose the driver to install. Windows will install
the necessary drivers automatically.
Double click on the downloaded firmware again (MuVoN200_PCFW_LF_1_20_04.exe)
to update the player's firmware.
During the firmware update process, make sure to check the box next
to Format Data Area under Download options.

Maybe it's time for you to upgrade to a new mp3 player. I guess the regular one you have right now is probably old. If not old, try to see if you can get the manufacturer that owns the product to see if they can fix the issue. If they are not able to assist, then maybe you can troubleshoot it.
first of all go to My computer check into it properties- hardware- device manager- does it show windows portable device or not...if it doesn't show u anything ..switch off and then re connect the device to the computer and setup the network wizard.. i hope it ll work 4 u..
Muvo is made by Creative. Go to this website, and try their Recovery Tool: http://support.creative.com/Products/ProductDetails.aspx?catID=213&subCatID=215&prodID=10737&prodName=MuVo%20Micro%20N200&subCatName=MuVo&CatName=undefined
My MuVO TX was having problems until I installed the latest firmware. The last firmware release was in March 2007. If you haven't updated the player's firmware since then, try downloading it and installing Creative MuVo TX FM Firmware 1.24.02.
Usually MP3 Players are to be formatted with the FAT32 File System. This can be easily done on Windows. Simply connect the Mp3 Player to your computer via the USB. Then Windows should be able to detect it just fine. Go to My Computer and right clock on the new device (that is the MP3 Player) and select "Format". Format as FAT32 and try again.
PS: You may want to backup all data (if that is possible) before you attempt this Format thing.
If you've tryed to leave out the batterys more then a day or so?? if not try it BUT if this dosent help it may be time to get a new mp3 . Sorry but there are no real user serviceable parts inside of these puppies. Good Luck
