Not Printing When I request a print (of the screen, email or any document) either by clicking the print icon or by "file" and "print", it goes to the printer queue as "printing document". However, the printer does not print. After waiting upwards of 15 minutes, I go to the queue and cancel the document printing. It shows "deleting" for upwards of 15 minutes, or until I get frustrated and attempt to go through task master to quit the function. It will not respond, I give up and reboot. As the pc is shutting down, THEN the printer prints the document!!!!!! When copying anything, it prints immediately. I have turned the printer off then back on and unplugged/replugged the connection to the cpu end and the printer end. No change.

I changed the print cartridge, printed a sample page and tried to print an email, would not print. Turned off the pc and tried printing email again and it printed another sample page and still did not print email. Is there a simple solution?

The copy function works fine because the printer alone is handling the copy. When you print, you need two machines to get their stories straight. Is your printer turned on before the machine boots up? or is the printer turned on after the machine has booted? Sometimes Windows won't load all the drivers needed if it doesn't detect a device during bootup. You may want to download the latest and greatest drivers from the HP site, uninstall and reinstall the drivers.
