Sync'ing to my MP3 player "did not fit on device"

I'm finally starting to use my MP3 player given as a gift over a year ago. I'm using windows media player 11 to rip music to my media library. The GPX is showing 225 megabytes remaining, but I can't even sync one song to my MP3 player...it just says "did not fit on device". Any advice?

Mine is doing the same thing. However, windows is only recognizing one file on the player but I know there are others because there is music on there.

I had the same problem, and found out a solution. The reason no more files fit even though there is room is that the File Allocation Table can only fit so many entries. Your's must be at the limit. What you do is create a folder under the main folder and copy files there. It should work.

Computer doesn't recognize MP3 player -

Check My Computer. If the PC recognises the Sansa player then simply add the songs by dragging the files into the player's icon on My Computer. Sometimes this kick starts the built in software included on the mp3 player.

I had the same problem, all you have to do is first turn on the Mp3.Then go to settings. Then go down to USB mode. It will probably say, auto detect. But instead scroll down to MSC. If that doesn't work try MTP.
