However, you might be able to install the Windows XP drivers and run the driver in 'Compatibility Mode' for XP SP2.

First, un-install any drivers you have installed for the scanner (if you have tried any).

Second, disconnect the scanner from your computer.

Download the driver and the software update from the provided link (above).

Once you have downloaded the driver (ps804en.exe) right click it, select the Properties/Compatibility Tab and check 'Use Compatibility Mode' and set it for Windows XP SP2, and also check 'Run as Administrator'
Then click ok.

Now run ps804en.exe and do not connect your scanner until the installation is finished (unless it specifically asks you to connect the scanner).

Now right click the updated software (ps803mu.exe),select the Properties/Compatibility Tab and check 'Use CompatibilityMode' and set it for Windows XP SP2, and also check 'Run asAdministrator'
Then click ok.

Now run ps803mu.exe

You have to install the software drivers in compatible mode of Windows XP SP2.

Right Click on the setup file----->Select Properties------>Select Compatibility----->Select the "Run in the Compatiblility Mode of Windows XP SP2"------>Also select "Run As Administrator"---->Apply----> OK.

Now reinstall the Printer Software. It will work for sure.

Its true. the Bios or HDD driver wont allow you to install Win XP on it.. This BIOS is compatible with only Win Vista. The only easy way to do it is by creating 2 partitions while installing vista. once vista is installed- install XP with Dual boot and than format the vista partition.

If you explore the disk and find the exe. file you might be able to right click on it and click Properties. Sometimes there is a Compatibility tab that shows a list of Compatibility modes for older operating systems.
There is a chance that the camera won't fully function if you do this though so I would suggest you install Service Pack 2, as SP2 is basically the '2nd half' of xp, and will make installs much easier.

IF YOU HAVE INSTALLED THIS SOFTWARE ON A COMPUTER RUNNING XP AND IT WORKED WELL AND YOU FEEL CONFIDENT WITH THE SOFTWARE, I WOULD NOT WORRY ABOUT THIS SCARE TACTIC YOU ARE GETTING ON THIS NEW COMPUTER. IS THIS NEW COMPUTER RUNNING XP,SP2 AND THE OTHER ONE RUNNING JUST XP OR XP,SP1? THIS MIGHT BE WHY YOU ARE GETTING THIS SCARE SCREEN. IF THIS SOFTWARE HAS BEEN WORKING ON A MACHINE WITH XP, IT WILL CONTINUE TO WORK ON XP.THE LOGO TESTING AND VALIDATION PROGRAM WERE MADE TO STOP PIRATE SOFTWARE. IT DOESN'T SOUND LIKE THIS IS THE CASE HERE. SOME OF THIS LOGO TESTING HAD A LOT TO DO WITH GETTING UPDATED SOFTWARE TO WORK WITH NEWER VERSIONS OF XP AND VISTA. Sorry talhahs, creative has not written Vista compatible driver software for you're PC-Cam 350 camera. Hence you're camera will not function with any version of Vista.
There are few SD readers currently that are compatible with Vista. Click on this link to see one type.

A card reader that will help you in transferring pictures from you’re camera to you’re PC while using Vista.
Win XP, unlike Vista will still run program software even if it has not passed MS's compatability.

Solution:
Download the veo 330v drivers from this site: http://www.softsci.com/veodrivers.htm

Run the setup program. Cancel the automatic install.. It extracted the setup files to c:\setup
Browse to that directory, right click on setup, properties, compatibility, set it to xp sp2 compat. close the properties. Install. Unplug usb, replug. Vista WILL find and install drivers and they DO work. They work with Yawcam, MSN Messenger at least. I haven't tested with any other software. This is on the Vista Ultimate Edition at least..
