Question about Polaroid TDM-1421C TV

Key icon on polariod television

My son accidentally stepped on the remote and the screen went blank. The sound is still on, and it will power on and off (by remote control only), and I can't change any channels. Also, there is an orange key icon on the lower left hand corner of the blank screen.

When your son stepped on the remote apparently the set was put into a lock out mode.Probably several (at least 2) buttons were pushed at the same time. If you still have your owner's manual you might find the answer as to how to unlock you set. If not then you need to call tech support and ask how to unlock it. Stargazer

You would have to try an INIT and see if it causes the tv to be operational again. It is something that you have to be walked through step by step by step and can erase the memory of the tv if done improperly. Call Sharp tomorrow morning at 9AM CST and someone can walk you through one. Call 800-237-5277 or if you have an aquos advantage model call 87-332-7867

My son stepped on a remote control for a DVR. The Sony Trinitron Wega KD 32FS130 went blank. Now it won't come on, goes into standby mode, with the red light blinking four times. Any suggestions?

It is possible that the button your son stepped on is stuck. If so, remove the batteries form the DVR remote control and see if the TV works. Unplug the TV from the wall for a few minutes to clear its memory to be sure. Some times remote controllers can have cross-talk, meaning it can affect other equipment,

I have a Polariod FLM 3232 hdtv 32 inch tv The

Most universal remotes don't have the screen mode button. So, your better off with the orginal remote for the TV.
The cheapest place I can find one for you is NewRemoteControl.com
It's going for $49.95
It's a little pricey, but it will have all the option buttons for the TV.

I hope I answered your question. Please rate me. :)

On and off

That hapened to me once and the solution that worked for me was unpluging the TV for about 5 minutes and pluging it back in, you may just need a new remote though.

Screen went blank sound ok

Do yo have the remote? Do you have the manual? Manuals are usually available online.
If you are feeding the Toshiba with cable wiring then the problem is with the Toshiba. Maybe something as simple as the wrong input is selected on the remote control. If you are feeding the Toshiba with audio and video cables then the input to the Toshiba would be suspect. Either cabling (the inputs and outputs are plugged in wrong. If you changed anything I would retrace your steps.

Let me know by clicking on 'ask me' and if solved please do the rating. Thanks.
