Blue lcd is burnt up.. Normally happens due to excess heat from poor ventilation or not changing the lamp at the required time.. Allways happens on the blue as blue light is the hottest wave length, and as the lamp burns, it shifts to that side. Nothing you can do but replace the lcd itself. From the image shown, looks like the unit uses sony lcds.. Sonys are well known for there burns.. No quick fix on this one.

I have the same problem, replaced the bulb, no help. They are saying it has something to do with the circuit board, the light bulb emits only white light, has nothing to do with the color we are seeing, trying to find the answer myself.

My screen has a blue cloud that started in the bottom left corner and has now spread over most of the screen...is it the Lamp?.and now the TV will only stay on for a few mins. and the lamp fan is...

THE LAMP CAN ONLY AFFECT BRIGHTNESS NOT ANYTHING WITH VIDEO DISTORTION. THE BLUE DISTORTION WILL BE A OPTICAL ENGINE DEFECT AND MOST LIKELY NON-ECONOMICAL TO REPAIR.

Blue patch on right side of screen. strange dark pattern also.also has lots of yellow on the otherside of screen tv is about 5 years old.

If it looks like a cloud of colour, the optical block needs replacing. It is the heart of the LCD. We had ours replaced twice, under warranty.

if you can still see the picture its most likely the control board that's going bad, you will still need a tech out to fix the issue.

Zenith M52W56LCD blue spot in center of screen

It could be as simple as dust contamination in the LE or lcd chip. You need a clean room to work on this area of the unit and NOTHING you can do there would make that possible, short of spending a few thousand to build one. Before we added a clean room enviroment we simply pulled the LE and sent it in to PTS - who has one and reinstalled...
In your case take it to a qualified shop and you'll save yourself a lot of grief..
