Question about Logitech QuickCam Express Web Camera
I'm on XP sp2 and finally chucked my old Quickcam away and got a new one but I am getting no sound. I have a microphone and speakers plugged into the Sound Blaster card and have checked the control panel mute not ticked etc Tried unplugging the mic - no luck. Not sure if I am going to use it with MSN Messenger or Skype yet. Have both installed.
Within the software that is used with the cam, the sound sometimes needs to be enabled in the options settings, and set up similairly in windows live.

Hi sandrew thanks for post.Have uninstalled Skype as it interferes and slows things and now have sound on cam but very scratchy and poor quality. More investigation needed there. They are more trouble than they are worth!
Mic just caused awful feedback on the speakers which is why some folks get headphones I believe. However my friends in Canada like Skype and have not been in touch since I bought them a cam as a prezzie!
