Files I had to change the batteries in my mp3 player, I turned it back on and it said all my files had been deleted. I then went to my computer and tryed to download the songs back onto the mp3 player. It did what it normally does, and updated the library and finalized the data, but then it said I had no files on there. I really do not know what is wrong.

Hi rhorne789...
Try this method to delete what you do not want on your MP3 player.

Hook up your mp3 player to your computer Go to your desktop and double left click on "My Computer" When it opens you will see listing that says "Devices with Removal Storage" your mp3 player should be listed there. It sounds like you have a corrupted file. The solution would be to either locate the file that your MP3 Player is freezing on and delete it or format your mp3 players drive.
I have had a similiar problem. When I went and turned it on, the thing kept shutting off. Went to plug into computer and it wouldn't recognize. Here I found the problem. I was deleting some files from the player and I deleted the voice file. Which is what the player runs on. Do not ever delete the voice file... What I did was plug the unit into my computer. Clicked on the drive that it used to run off of. It then said I needed to format device. Went and did the format. Unfortunately it erases all the songs, so I had to redownload onto player, but now it is working properly and doesn't shut off and my computer recognizes drive.
My MuVO TX was having problems until I installed the latest firmware. The last firmware release was in March 2007. If you haven't updated the player's firmware since then, try downloading it and installing Creative MuVo TX FM Firmware 1.24.02.
If you really want to wipe the MuVO's files and start over:
Plug your player into your computer
Right-click on "My Computer"
Select "Manage"
Click on "Disk Management"
One of the volumes listed should be your MuVO. You can right-click on it from here, and select "Format." (This will not erase the firmware that makes the player work, so don't worry about that. The firmware is stored else.)
I had the same problem with mine. I messed around with it, and now it's working again.
Here's what i did. Try this, and let me know if anything happens:
Take out the battery.
Plug the mp3 player into your computer, without the battery.
Find the MP3 player under "My Computer." Right-click it, and click "Format"
After formatting, leave it plugged in for a while.
Add a song to it, then unplug it, and turn it on. Hopefully, the song will show up.
Hope it works!
