Black screen My Toshiba A75 S-206 laptop screen turn black . I can see the sreen data with a black veil, a dense black veil. I don't know if the cleaning I gave with an eyeglass cleaning liquid was the reason? Please help.

Try running the check disk utility.

To run the check disk utility you will need a repair disc ora operating system disc. Put the disc in the cd drive and boot fromit. You want to get to the Dos Command Prompt (Black screen with whiteletters) and type the following command: chkdsk /r
Check disk will run well over an hour or two and you will notice thepercentages going from high to low, this is normal. Let it run tocompletion. Then reboot machine.

If check disk fails to solve your problem you might have to reinstall windows.Try doing a Repair Install that way you don't loose your data, documents,music, pictures, videos or programs.

In windows xp you get to the dos command prompt by selecting R for repair whenthe options appear.

In Vista and Windows 7 you want to get to the recoveryconsole and look down at the bottom of the window for the Dos Command.

if your pc shuts down in 10 second with black sreen it means that your laptop memory was not detected. solution: reinsert your laptop memory (RAM) .. be sure to clean it especially at the contact points.

recheck all the connections again to make sure they are all hooked up properly. especially any ribbon cables. you may have to take it apart again to ensure all the connections are what they should be inside the sreen.

I was never put my file data at system disk. It's mean I always have two partition drive on my computer. So when the system crashes and can't repair, I can free to re-install the system without affecting my data. Base on my experience there is nothing to do than re-install your system. Backup your data first if its placed on system disk with Live operating system that you can found on internet such as SLAX Linux.

sounds like your actual tv tubes blew causing no picture usually more expensive to fix than to just buy a new tv bad luck

So.. you can select safe mode? Or you turn it on and it is resuming into the blank screen?

If the latter. Unplug the power, pull the battery out for 20 seconds or so. Then put it all back together and try booting up.

Sometimes the function keys get depressed by accident and it takes away your display. Press the FN+F5 and FN+F6 three times each and see if your display comes back on.

Your description of the symptom shows that your operating system installation has been corrupted. Fastest and easiest way to resolve the Issue using the "Recovery and application disk" (it comes with laptop) to perform full system recovery.
