My printer won't turn on after a power failure. beware spam number below

We had a power outage yesterday and now my printer won't turn on. Everything else on the surge protector is working great.  Is there a reset button on the printer?

SOURCE: my printer won't turn on after a power failure.

Most of the time if your printer will not turn on that means that the low voltage power supply is shot. If the machine is under warranty you may be able to have it replaced.

There is no reset on the printer, if you cannot get the printer replaced under warranty I recommend buying a new printer as you cannot even order the parts to fix the printer with the problems you are having.

Hope This helps!

My area recently had a power failure. Oddly, during the power failure I could still see a light coming from the Canon MG5220 printer. After power was restored, it was sometime later when I noticed that...

Unfortunately, it sounds like when the power was restored, the printer experienced a surge. If this was not plugged into a surge protector, then it's possible the switch was fried at the point of power restoration. It is important that with units such as printers, monitors, towers (computer), tv's, vcr/dvd players, almost any type of electrical appliance be plugged into a surge protector. However, even if this was true in this case - when a power shortage (outage) is experienced, it is necessary to unplug everything so that when the power is restored, nothing that is plugged in will be affected; as your printer was.
Now, you can have this fixed - either take it to a local computer repair shop; that might be able to fix it, or contact the manufacturer and inquire about sending the unit in for repair - regardless of warranty or not. If it is still under warranty, they may honor it. I am not positive they will for an accidental damage such as this, but it's worth calling them.

Xerox c2424 fault code 37,008.44:54093

There are two things. I most likely suspect that the print head wiper blade has stuck to the print head. Very common problem after a power failure.
Not sure how I didnt see your post before now. But if your still having that problem let me know, I can tell you how to fix it.

Asante Talk doesn't see printer after power failure

The Asante tech support people in San Jose, CA, talked me through this fix, and I've had no further problems!

This is for system 10.5.x:
1. Delete that printer from your list of printers in System Preferences.
2. Make sure your computer, printer, and Asante box are all hooked up together and turned on.
3. Click + under the list of printers in System Preferences.
4. Click AppleTalk icon in top row of dialogue box that appears.
5. After a moment, click Bluetooth icon instead.
6. After a moment, unplug the power cord from your Asante box (but not from the electrical outlet).
7. After a moment, re-plug the power cord into your Asante box and, as soon as possible after the "TX" light comes on, click the AppleTalk icon again.
8. Within a few moments, your printer's name should appear. Highlight its name, then make sure all the information about it that appears is correct, then click "Add."
9. Everything should communicate beautifully now.
