Thank you. Is the part only available from Miele?

  • Anonymous Jun 29, 2012

yes, unfortunately. it is not a very expensive part though, should be under 30 dollars. 800 843 7231 dial 0 and ask for parts. all 800 series dishwashers use the same heater pressure switch.

Believe it or not - the part was $71. Came to $83 with tax and shipping.

First, make sure you need one. if you start a cycle, and the machine drains for 30 seconds, starts to fill, and then faults out on intake drain fault, you dont need a hps, your circulation pump is stuck. miele will send you a "hook tool" used for freeing the pump.

if your situation is not as I have described above, and your machine is faulting out later in the cycle, or will not heat, this is how you change the hps.

uninstall the dishwasher. **** up all the water from the sump under the triple filter. lay the machine on its side. remove the 4 phillips head screws that hold the bottom pan on. the hps is mounted to the circ pump at the back of the machine. push the locking tab in, and twist the hps a quarter turn. transfer the wires one by one to make sure they go back in the proper order. reinstall the switch. reinstall the bottom pan.

Miele G1232Sc dishwasher has F14 fault have cleaned valve which was blocked also cleaned impeller which had debris in it but when started up still produced F14 fault is there anything else it might be

The F14 Fault is a heater pressure switch fault - usually a machine that that been in service for a while gets soap build up in and around the sensors - the heater pressure switch being one of those. Its purpose is to measure the pressure of the recirc pump to make sure there is sufficient water pressure to turn the heater on - without sufficient water pressure the heater would burn up. The pressure switch gets gummed up with soap deposits over time and should be changed out

R100 reddy heater, low pressure forced air heater. the heater ignites, motor runs for 30 seconds then shuts down. photo cell good, filters clean, no ignition board, pump pressure unknown.

The R100 is a kerosene heater and the RLP100 is a propane heater so I am not sure when one you have.
If it is kerosene then you may need to check the pump pressure. Also the Safety swith can give you a cut out after 30 seconds.

If the unit is Propane then you could have a bad control board or a flame sensor.

You can call our service department at 1-800-475-5660

Thanks

Miele G892 SC dishwasher not heating/cycle won't stop

Miele have cold inlet only. Either element is open circuit, or the relay that switches the element has failed. My money would be on the element first, then the relay. The machine will sit in that mode forever as it is waiting for the temperature of the water to reach a certain temp before telling the electronic unit to move to the next part of the wash. If you need assistance in how to test & how to get to these parts just let me know. But you will need an ohm meter to test the element. Regards
