This sounds like a software issue or a delay issue, try a factory re-set from the main settings , make sure you back up telephone numbers ect, turn the phone off and then back on again , if the problem persists, it may be a fault with the provider , or indeed with the phone and you should take it to a repairer, please let me know how you get on with this :)
Depending on your notification settings, the phone plays a ringtone, vibrates, or displays the message briefly in the status bar when you receive a new message. A new message icon is also displayed in the status bar. To open and read the message, you can:
Slide open the Notifications panel. Then tap the new message.
Open the Messages application to access and read the message.
i think you changed the place where to store (from phone to card) and not rebooted yor phone. If you recieve or send an sms during that time your sms service breaks ;(
Solution: save everything (backup yor phone) and from the menu restore the factory settings.
your phones software will be corrupted.. give it to a technician he will reinstall it..to retrieve the sms ... insert your sim card in someother phone and read it.. then u reinstall the phone software...
Usually with my verizon it tells me that I have to access the sms or mms online at their website. I don't get those on this phone. Check with your provider to see if that model phone does not carry that access. I say this cause my wife has the same service but a different kind of phone and she receives these and I can not.
Not enough memory means your phone is too full of data IE. Pics, Themes, Contacts, Applications, Games, Old leftover files from sending via Bluetooth etc...
Do a clean up job. Get rid of all the trash.
The phone needs a certain amount of memory to function.
