Question about HP LaserJet P2015 Printer
When we try to install the driver software that comes together with the printer, to copy the driver files to the computer there is no connection between the computer hardware and the printer. There is no paper jam, but the jam light is on always. I think it is the control board problem. If it is send me the circuit board diagram so as to see the problem on the board. My email address is [email protected] We need an urgent respond from you, because 2 identical printer out of four have the same problem.
Remove side & back covers before starts is activity:1. Check whether printer initializing after powering on? If the error appearing after initializing check is there any paper jammed under the registration assm area.
2. If the error showing straight away after power on, check paper jam in duplex unit. check paper out sensor & sensor flag located in fuser assembly . Fuser assm located at back side of the printer.
3. Remove and refix all connectors on DC controller ( you can observe the connector below user assembly..

SOURCE: What paper jam?
Does the printer even try to pick a piece of paper from the supply tray? If not, then it would appear that a sensor somewhere in the paper path is bad, either mechanically or electronically. Often, these sensors have a lever which touches the paper. If by chance the lever is broken or stuck it won't give a correct message to the logic circuit. If by chance the sensor is electronically defective, it would still give a bad message to the logic, and it would need to be replaced. Logic circuitry could be bad, in which case, replace the printer. With the lowcost printer/all-in-one units these days, it seems fixya has a continual flow of inquiries. Maybe this will give you some help.

SOURCE: Paper Jam
Sometimes the "paper jam" with no paper is due to the printer not being able to feed paper in to the machine. You send a print job to it...printer attempts to feed paper but can't...then you get the paper jam message and ofcourse there is no paper in the machine. Powering off and on should clear the message. Make sure you clear the print job from the print que or the same thing will happen on power off/power on because the computer will still try to send the print job to the printer when turned on. I have found that all of HP's machines that have this style of paper feed mechanism fails prematurely. The pickup roller is too small for one but as soon as the roller is coated with dust it begins to fail. You can take a Q-tip and go in from the back to try and clean the roller. Water is fine.

You have to check if there is still a piece of paper jammed in the printers rollers/gears. It is inside when u take the lid off. After that you can try to recalibrate your printer from the software which came along with the printer. Try these and give more clarification.
