Self adjusting in wall timer

We have set the program to turn on daily at 8 pm and to turn off at 6 am. Some days the porch light goes on at the correct time and sometimes it does not go on at all. However it always turns off at 6 am. How can I get it to turn on daily?

Timer is not known.
Copy following links to identify timer and download manual
http://waterheatertimer.org/Intermatic-timers-and-manuals.html
http://waterheatertimer.org/ST01C-program.html
In the manual, you will see directions for resetting timer.

If resetting does not work, then review timer programming carefully to make sure there are no conflicts in the programming such as overlapping days, or inconsistent am-pm, etc

If you need further help, I’m available over the phone at https://www.6ya.com/expert/gene_9f0ef4df2f9897e7

My stereo keeps turning off when I listen to a station 101.5 in New Jersey

The only thing that can be is that you have set a timer "sleep" function for that station. I have looked at the manual and it states you can programme a sleep setting for a radio station.
The instructions are on page 12. But I have extracted them below:

1 Press the ON/STAND-BY button to turn the power on.

2 Press and hold the CLOCK/TIMER button.

3 Within 10 seconds, press the or button

to select "ONCE" or "DAILY", and press the MEMORY

button. Set the clock to the correct time if "ONCE" or

"DAILY" does not appear.

4 Within 10 seconds, press the or button to select

"ONCE SET" or "DAILY SET", and press the MEMORY

button.

5 To adjust the hour, press the or button and then

press the MEMORY button.

6 To adjust the minutes, press the or button and

then press the MEMORY button.

7 Set the time to fi nish as in steps 5 and 6 above.

8 To select the timer playback source (CD, TUNER, USB,

iPhone/iPod, TAPE or AUDIO IN), press the or

button. Press the MEMORY button.

When you select the tuner, select a station by pressing

the or button, and then press the MEMORY

button. If a station has not been programmed, "NO

PRESET" will be displayed and timer setting will be

canceled.

9 Adjust the volume using the VOLUME control, and then

press the MEMORY button. Do not turn the volume up

too high.

10 Press the ON/STAND-BY button to enter the power

stand-by mode. The "TIMER" indicator lights up and

the unit is ready for timer playback.

11 When the preset time is reached, playback will start.

The volume will increase gradually until it reaches the

preset volume. The "?" or "DAILY" indicator will blink

during timer playback.

12 When the timer end time is reached, the system will

enter the power stand-by mode automatically.

Once timer:

The timer will be canceled.

Daily timer:

The timer operates at the same time every day. It

will continue until the daily timer setting is canceled.
Cancel the daily timer when it is not in use.

On 10/12/10 electrician installed an Intermatic Inc. ST01C Self-Adjusting Wall Switch Timer in our garage to control outside lights over garage door. The lights were programmed to come on at 6pm and go off...

I believe your timer must be exposed to cold.
The CR2 battery in ST01C will only last 30 days when exposed to cold temperatures.
I was reading a pdf chart few months ago about timer batteries, and the power drop-off becomes really steep after 30 days.

Most digital programmable timers are susceptible to cold if they have battery or internal rechargeable battery that supports timer functions or acts as program back-up.
For example, I e-mailed Honeywell about their Aube rechargeable-battery-type-timer, and they said anything below 32F and the display becomes slow, and timer loses accuracy.

Your ST01C wiring is correct. I test timers. They don't operate if wiring is wrong.

I solved same problem with my back porch timer using GE 15070 mechanical dial timer. Home Depot sells in-store for $18.
Link below gives you photo, manual, and wiring instruction so you don't need electrician.
http://waterheatertimer.org/GE-timers-and-manuals.html#15070
Open page and notice the timer below the 15070 has a photo insert showing on-off pins located on timer dial.
You move pins with ink pen or fingernail file.
Of course this is not self-adjusting digital timer, so I just set it for times I want, and it's easy to change times. It will be perfect for 6pm to 11pm daily.

And then use ST01C on a indoor switch.
You can wire the ST01C yourself by simply looking how each wire is connected now, or you can add a comment to this thread later and I will answer:
