Question about LaCie Computers & Internet
The Lacie drive successfully backs up via Time Machine but all our computers intermittently loose connection (once or twice a day) with the 10.5.8 OSX Server when the Lacie drive is connected. We have 3 other Apple Time Capsules used by individual iMacs on the network, and have no issues when the Lacie drive is disconnected. The Lacie is connected via Firewire. When the connection to the server drops we get the following error on the OSX server: " IP Configuration 192.168.0.100 in use by e4:ce*********** Any ideas anyone?

there is not enough power coming through ports each device re-quires 1-5 volts to run and if your mac has not got enough power to boot all devices then sadly all things pluged into will not reconise and with mac the os is not properly designed for it now if you got yourself an external usb 2.0 hub powered then yes all devices will be seen in mac windows firewire is unsafe at moment for this to happen ask them what system they had had configuration on. hope this has helped

SOURCE: How to connect my MSSQL server through VPN by using PPTP
192.168.1.X is a local ip address ,, i trust that thhe vpn is in seperate places and is done with the wan ip over an internet connection?????
OK maybe the problem isnt on your side but the main office building,, when connecting , have someone looked for repeated attemps to connect by observing the fire wall,, if it appears to be blocked byu the firewall simply diasable any and try it out.. If it works then all you need to do is set the firewall correctly..
I was reading the ip address in your original post and those are local address,s are you certin the VPN is correct ???? did you use the correct STATIC IP ADDRESS ASSIGNED BY YOUR ISP??

SOURCE: Can't connect to WPSM54G after configuring it
hi sir,
1. first reset the printserver
2. make sure that the printer drivers are installed on the comp.
3. use a w/l comp on which we can go online
4. connect the w/l comp to the print server using ethernet cable and also connect the printer to the print server
5. put the print server cd into the comp and run setup.
6. make sure printer server is near to router and there is no firewall on the comp.
7. the setup will give the ipaddress to print server if not plz assign static ip on the printserver.
8. follow the wizard
9. it will ask u the w/l settings to enter. plz type the exact same n/w name and security password.and apply the settings.
10.after that it will connect u to the print server and u will be able to print if you will not u will find an error to open port.
11.you need to open standard tcp/ip ports for the printserver ipaddress that u have assigned.
12. if u dont knw, u can ask the comp vendor.
13. plz also confifm that the printer is compatible with ur print server.
thanx and regards

SOURCE: samsung BD p3600, can not connect to the Wi Fi
Forgive me if you know this already IP address needs to be different to the Apple one. If the Apple one is 192.168.0.1 make the Samsung 192.168.0.2. subnet 255.255.255.0. Gateway should be the same as the apple number.. DNS can be left to automatic but if stuck use 4.2.2.3. Check the security settings on both the Apple and the Samsung are set to the same type

Your getting a connection successful because your looking at the localhost. The server would be the network name of your server. And the password is case sensitive and is pcAmer1ca. (Note the number 1, not an i)
