First make sure your video cable is set to TV not HDTV
Then plug the 3 RCA cables into the color coded slots on the TV. Make sure you aren't using the red cable from the component RGB but are using the red cable for sound (next to the white one).
Then, if you still have no picture, start the console using the controllers Xbox button and hold "Y" and "RT" until the console restarts. this will reset the video settings on the 360 to default.
Follow this guide if you get confused: http://support.xbox.com/en-us/pages/xbox-360/how-to/audio-video-devices/connect-xbox-360-console-tv.aspx
and for the video reset about halfway down the page: http://support.xbox.com/en-us/Pages/xbox-360/troubleshoot/xbox-360-top-issues/tv-or-monitor-screen-is-blank-while-connected.aspx
Look like ur Xbox 360 AV RCA cables is not making contact to the input board very well.Take some rubing achahol cleans the all those input holes, take the RCA AV connections make couples twises to the red, yellow and white, will help.Make contact with ur input board it should work.
1) make sure the video cable is firmly inserted into the back of your xbox 360. Sometimes a loose connection will produce this result.
2) Check the end to your television set and make sure it is in correctly. Is this HDMI ??
3) Cycle the inputs on your tv until it gets back to your xbox 360 and see if the picture appears.
4) If you have this hooked up via HDMI, connect it through another method and go into the video settings in your xbox 360 dashboard and set them to auto detect.
Double check TV is on video 1,2,3 same for 360s yellow video out.
If then you still have audio only ,the G.P.U has open connections
form the video feed to the mother board Solution, you must have the G.P.U re-clamp to the main board.
That Works. 99% of the time.
it sounds as if you have a connection unhooked or loose somewhere. Double check all audio and video cables are secure and in the correct position. If that doesn't work try troubleshooting by trying a different tv or removing all connections from tv and xbox and re-hooking everything back up.
Homerunkevin, Right go to the back of the xbox and on the AV cable there is something that looks like a button. Switch is across and try again. I had the same problem with my Xbox 360 then i figured that out.
On some av cables for the Xbox 360 there is a switch on the cable itself where it plugs into the Xbox that must be in the correct position. I hope this helps you.
Try looking on your AV Cable there is a setting for HDTV and TV if you have a High Definition tv use that setting but by the sounds of your issue i would say you dont and would go with the regular TV setting. Its right on the neck of the AV cable where it plugs into the game console. Let me know if this works for you.
