Panasonic has the owner's manual for the DMR-EZ48V on their product support page. Go to http://shop.panasonic.com/shop/model/DMR-EZ48VK and click on the Owner's Manual tab (second from the left). The direct link to the manual is http://service.us.panasonic.com/OPERMANPDF/DMREZ48V-MUL.PDF . (Note: this is the US version of the DMR-EZ48V.)

Cannot eject disc: The unit may have a problem. While the unit is off, press and hold [g] and [CH 1] on the main unit at the same time for about 5 seconds. Remove the disc and consult the dealer.

Try setting the clock on the remote press [FUNCTIONS] go to SETUP menu - locate the CLOCK option (it should be under 'OTHERS' in the setup) and set the current time, press [ENTER/OK] to store if necessary, then press [RETURN] to exit the setup. Once clock is set correctly, future DVD thumbnails will show the actual date/time of recording in this (and similar) model combo units. If auto clock setting is not possible, set it manually as above.

I assume in spite of the wrong date/time, your DVD recordings have been successful. Incorrect clock and date setting usually only affects timer recording for VHS.

1. Go to www.panasonic.com
2. At the top of screen, look for "support", click on it.
3. Then look for "operating manuals", click on it.
4. A new window appears, enter the "model number", then
check the terms and conditions box, then click the Locate Manual button. The file requires a PDF reader like "Adobe Acrobat ReaderTM "
5. A new window appears, then click on the link under the "File Name". Some files are quiet large several MBs.
