Red color not showing up well

Every time I do a printer head allignment, I get everything just fine except that the red isn't showing but a few lines. They are the same lines every time. I have changed the cartridges mutlipul times and cleaned all heads, but the same lines show up. I can't see what the issue is. I cleaned out the very dirty drip pan under where the Cartridges sit when not in use. cleaned the heads and the little copper dots that they connect to. What can I do to fix this situation? Thank you in advance.

Clean the copper dots again with a Q tip soaked in ink jet cleaner or 90% isopropyl alcohol. This could be a bad flex tape. I would insure that you have the correct replacement cartridge and make sure that it is seating correctly. Dust, paper particles and ink do not mix well. I would also blow the unit out with low pressure compressed air to eliminate the dust or contaminant issue. If it is a bad flex tape or electronic problem send it out for warranty service. If it is not still underwarranty, this may not be a user fixable problem and would require professional service or a new printer.

Printed pages have blank lines in the print for the red, blue and yellow colors. Have tried cleaning and deep cleaning several times. No change.

If cartridge is good, prime and allign, remove cartridge and clean copper contacts with contact cleaner, if all fails replace printer.

Hp deskjet 1220c It only prints in red. I thought it was that the black cartridge was empty so I changed it. But the problem persists Any ideas?

If the printer has not been used for awhile, ink may have dried on the heads. Try cleaning the heads a few times. Then see if you can print solid blocks of each color. If they show up but have lines in them the heads will need to be cleaned again until they show solid.

try replacing the other cartridges, I had the same problem except the printer auto printed red, the problem was that it only allowed me to print some colors because the other ones were empty.

Red and blue lines across printouts

open printing preferences and click on maintenance. Run the print head alignment utility. Sometimes this will remove the horizontal banding. I had this same problem and had to uninstall the printer and reinstall just like it was new, running the alignment feature before it was corrected. Worked ok for a few days then started again. I assumed that the printhead is bad. To costly to repair and bought a new printer.
