Jazzy wheelchair 1170....left side stops and sticks,.

I go in circles until someone comes and wiggles the electrical cords in the back of the chair and then there is a big **** and it goes for a bit, and then it happens again. Someon said maybe it is the brake sticking, but why does it **** and go when somone wiggles the power cords in the back? When it stops.it also blinks 1 or 2 red lights in the control.the whol control doesn light up like it should when it is running right. Plz help me.I am sick of being stranded and scared. Renee

I have a Jazzy 1170 XL, and it is doing some things that I don't want it to do. Sometimes the lights on the control will blink and not come on all the way. When this happens the wheelchair will only go in circles until it breaks loose. Can anyone tell me what is causing this? It just started doing this last week, but it does it at some point every time I use the wheelchair now.

Change out the motor brushing on the motor that is not working, or get a nail filer & rub it against the metal pins the back of the chair for a better connection

What the lights moving right to left on jazzy select 6 power chair

If you are moving as soon as you turn on the chair, the lights will move from right to left. Try waiting a few seconds and see if the lights stop moving. If they do stop, then you can move forward. Hope this helps.

Hi. Sounds like a stuck or worn brush in the right hand motor. If one or both of the brushs are sticking, give it a light file on the sides of the brush until it slides in and out smoothly. Be carefull tightening the brush caps, as they can crack if tightened too hard, but they do need to be done up firm. Good luck. Neil.

Lights Flashing Right to Left and will not turn off

That should have unlocked the controller. You might try disconnecting the power to the chair and then reconnect and try again. Start with just the joystick plug-in in the rear, and then try the main battery harness unplug.
