I have a Pioneer VSX-D606S receiver and can not find my user manual. I had to disconnect the receiver to move it and now my subwoofer will not work. There is some process to get it working through the receiver and I can't remember how. Can anyone either send me a copy of the user manual or tell me how to set up the subwoofer on this receiver.
Thanks,
Gary

I also have this problem. A real bummer especially since I just got an awesome new sub. My issue is I don"t have the remote anymore so I can"t access the speaker settings.

Re:
Is the square button also labled as down arrow button, push the down arrow button and will give access to the lcd screen setup options on the receiver center speaker size lfe att settings cross over rear channel size ect. i don't have the manual either took me a year to fix the issue.
If you push the middle of the remote the select I belive it it it will give you options on the receiver. There is one which says subwoofer on / off. Hope that helps.

Hello Try to download the user manual to Pioneer VSX & THX user manual. click here to down load the same. You will get details of it connections from the manual. http://www.dataentryjobs.us/67948.html
There are three parts to this scenario and only one named.
First, you need to set the receiver up with speaker definitions and capacities, subwoofer presence, bass management and Test Tones to verify it CAN make each speaker work.
The DVD player has a piece of this, too. It probably has a menu for speaker configuration that needs to be set up. And its digital output prbably has a setting like DTS/Dolby Digital/PCM. Look in the manual. Look in the manual.
Then there's the sub itself. Is IT working? Jack it into any other pre-out as a test.
No sound from subwoofer. • Make sure the subwoofer is switched on.
• If the subwoofer has a volume knob, make sure it’s turned up.
• The Dolby Digital or DTS source you are listening to may not have an LFE channel.
• Switch the subwoofer setting in Speaker Setting on page 40 to YES or PLUS.
• Switch the LFE Attenuator Setup on page 61 to LFEATT 0 or LFEATT 10.
That type of subwoofer is not used with this receiver. This receiver actually outputs no power for a subwoofer, therefore only needs a plain ol' rca signal wire. This is due to the fact that you need a powered sub... one that you plug in to the wall and it has its own built in amp. you simply run an rca from yyour 505s to that sub.
