On the main unit, press [stop] [disk1] at the same time. The display should then show "UNLOCKED"
If this doesn't work, you may need to first disable the "save on" mode by turning the unit off (standby) and pressing [display] on the remote.

Try removing power from the unit, let it set two minutes without power and power it up again. See if the problem continues.
Make sure the cd drawer is complete closed and flush with the front panel. If not, something could be stuck inside.
Turn off power and remove cord from wall for next step:
There is a small hole generally on the flat face of the cd drawer through which a bent straight paper clip can be pushed gently until you hit a mechanical stop. Pushing slightly harder at this point should cause the cd drawer to move open mechanically. Gently pull the cd drawer open until you can remove any CD still inside.
Gently push the drawer closed again and restore power to the unit and see if the problem returns.
Would be nice to have manufacturer and model number of the CD player.
Look for a small tiny hole right below the CD drawer, use a paper clip and insert. That hole if made for when a CD is stuck and the drawer will not open, its more like a manual lock and needs to be pushed in with a small metal wire to unlock the drawer, mind you that the computer has to be running.
Get a large paper clip and straighten it out. Then look on either side of the drawer, right above it or below and you will see a very small hole. Insert the paper clip into it and you will fel it push up against a manual switch. Slowly push and the drawer will unlock and you can pull it open.
