Buzzing noise, trying to open the cover

We turned the projector on, heard a pop and now a loud buzzing noise. We were able to open the side and were able to take the lightbulb out but now were trying to open the entire cover and are unable. Are we missing something to open it? thanks

It sounds like a piece of your colour wheel has fallen off. You will need to take the front panel off (2 screws) plus the two plastic rings around the lens pull out. Be careful not to snap a circuit that sticks out behind the remote sensor on the front. I've had this problem a few times but have just glued it in with 24 hour drying glue, the noise i had was so loud it was hard to watch anything, plus i lost the red colour to the picture until i glued it back in.

Dryer was running with full load of clothes. Heard a loud pop twice, ran back to the laundry room and smelled like something burning. Turned dryer off, and now it won't start back. Also, the very top of...

Well it sounds like a sound I have heard... forgetting that I had a cigarette lighter in my pocket and having it explode from the heat in the dryer. But you say you heard two loud pops?

Once everything cools down, check again and report back... does the dryer not turn on at all? Does the light come on when you open the door? Does it buzz when you push the start button? Stuff like that.

Projector stays on for 3 minutes then turns itself off

Hi Chipped Rice

The loud buzzing noise you heard was the colourwheel that gave in.

Now what happens is , the machine will turn on and go through the whole cycle and as soon as the colourwheel is supposed to start doing it's stuff the Projector will switch off because there is no response from the coulourwheel itself.

You will have to replace the colourwheel unfortunately as it cannot be fixed.

Infocus SP4805 buzzing noise

Hi dcabbarno

The buzzing noise is a broken colourwheel and the shadow could be a part of the colourwheel that is obstructing the light engine or it could be your packlight pipe ( tunnel with 4 tiny mirrors in it ) that was damaged when the colourwheel broke.

I do unfortunately not have the part numbers of the parts that I mentioned , but you could assist by opening up the unit and supplying me with the part numbers.

The colourwheel you will spot straight away once you've taken off the top cover of the Projector , the packlight pipe is situated right next to it - looks like a small tunnel that's got 4 mirrors inside it - takes the light into the light engine.

Once you've supplied me with these I can get you prices and places to order it from and will help you with instructins on how to replace them - it is quite easy to DIY.

Thanks for using Fixya !

G.E. Spacemaker XL1800- Loud constant buzzing noise. Help

My microwave was totally dead. Things I discovered: 1) There is an easily replacable fuse accessed by taking off the top front vent cover (two screws on top, gently massage off) and then the inside plastic grill. UNPLUG before doing this! 2) Pop off two wires on either end of fuse holder for safety. Then pop out fuse and replace. For more extensive help, there is an evelope with a wiring diagram inside the case on the inside wall! Very helpful when diagnosing the surface lamp problem (I forgot to plug the ballast back in when I closed up the bottom).

Loud periodic buzzing

Are you sure this noise is not just the ice maker trying to cycle without water? If it is not turned off it will dry cycle every 15 min or so.
