Took back off seems water coming from above, hose are all tight on outside ?

It is so common that the drain leaks in many ways and is the most problematic fault in a washing machine. In all occasions it is important that your observation is most important and so is vital to the identification /rectification and solution. If you have noticed that water has leaked then as the drain hose pump/valve and fittings are located on the underside of the machine it is important that you look for possible leaks here. In some cases the drain hose would be clogged at the drain end to outlet of the house and so there will be back flushing resulting in overflow to the outside. Also the drain pump/valve can be clogged or the drain hose clamps can be loose on the grip which can all cause the leak to occur. Removing and cleaning the drain pump/valve, tightening of the hose is also very important. Also water can leak if there are gaps on the front door gaskets and must be checked but this will happen only during the cycle and not on the drain cycle end.

looks like you have to replace the RUBBER SEAL thats inside the tub at the center post , try this , remove the panel so you can see inside , put the washer to fill w/ water , and watch closely underneath the tub wheres the transmision is connected , and watch for LEAKS . hope this info helps

Kenmore Washer only leaking from one area

Ive never worked on a Kenmore but it may just be the overflow outlet. All washing machines have an overflow which will dump water out from the top of the tub if it overfills but sometimes on high fill water level, clothes can splash around and cause a "wave" of water to splash out over the overflow outlet. Check to see if the leak only occurs when you have selected high level fill.

If the washer leaks all the time, check these: Hot and cold water fill hoses - Check the hot and cold water hoses from the household plumbing. If either hose is leaking, tighten it or replace it, as appropriate. Main tub seal - The main tub seal is located between the transmission and the outer tub. It's the primary water seal in the outer tub for the transmission-shaft entry point. If this seal leaks, you can see the leak by opening up the machine's main access panel while the machine is full of water with a small amount of detergent in it. The leak appears at the underside of the outer tub, at or near the center. This seal is difficult to replace. You probably should call a qualified appliance repair technician. Pump - If the pump leaks, you can probably spot the leak when the tub is full of water. The pump has two or more black rubber or plastic hoses attached to it and usually has a drive belt that spins the pump. If the pump is leaking, you need to replace it. Outer tub - Over time, the steel or plastic outer tubs can rust, split, or be punctured. If this happens, you may have to replace the entire outer tub-

Water leaks in front not all the time all hoses are tight took apart never leak put back together and it leaks

If you can remove the cabinet top and still get it to run, look for overfilling of the outer tub and possibly seeing where the leak is coming from. You may have a seeping water valve the keeps raising the water level as it runs.

I have a Whirlpool Ultimate Care II washing machine that is leaking water onto the floor. The water is not coming from the back of the machine. What do I need to look for and how do I get into the machine?...

I suspect you may have a drain pump leaking on your washer. The following link explains all the steps necessary to access and/or replace the pump (if required):

If the leak isn't too bad, allow the tub to fill about 1/3 of the way and turn off and unplug. With the exterior case removed, you should be able to see where the leak is coming from. If the leak is coming from the front of the washer, its probably your drain pump or drain hoses. If the leak is coming from the center under the wash tub, you more than likely have a bad tub seal. If the leak is coming from the side of the wash tub, you probably have a loose air hose on the air dome (with this problem, the washer will begin to leak when the tub gets to about 1/4 full). Also check all your drain hose clamps to ensure they are tight. The only other thing that can cause leaks is a cracked wash tub (not real common).

Maytag washer

Many of the maytag toploaders have a rubber fill hose at the top of the outer drum.
Sometimes if the machine is fully loaded (or overloaded), during the spin cycle if clothes are above the top of the drum they can actually knock the rubber flange of the hose out of the drum. Then when the machine fills with water, it will dump it down the outside of the tub and it will appear that the water is leaking from the top and side of the drum... Fix it by snapping the fill hose flange back into the hole in the top part of the drum... let me know how you do or need more help...

quite possiblethat the tub itself is sitting to far foward, this machine fills from the back section above the tub, very possible as it fills its deflecting off the tub cover and unto the floor

ck to be sure drain hose is not more than 6-8 inches into standpipe ..standpipe is 30-36 inches to top from floor ..drain hose does not fit too tight in standpipe any of the above conditions may cause water to siphon out during wash or rinse resulting in not enough water in tub to carry lint away during drain

Leak in washing machine

can you tell where the water is hitting the belt from is it in the middle of the wash tub or from the outside of the wash tub please let me know if its from the middle of the tub its probably the seal that keeps the agitator from leaking, and if its from the side the in lines from the water spicket or the valve that controls hot and cold in the machine could be leaking, please look closely and try to see where the wateris dripping down from. thank you, then let me know

when you put the drain hose on the floor the water will ALWAYS drain out. When the drain is in the proper location (above the height of the tub) and the water is still leaking, if its leaking as it fills you might have a loose hose,or a cracked water inlet valve. If after the water is in the tub and its still leaking you have a bad seal.
