Maytag gemini MER6770AAB

I purchased the stove in 2000 and I am having problems. The oven doors have completly locked up. What can I do to open or solve this problem besides having someone charge me $80.00- $150. to come out and remove some screws and flip a switch?

I had the same problem on multiple occasions. You're probably gonna have to pay big bucks to change the control panel and the circuit board.

First, however, try turning the circuit breaker off and on. To reset the computer.

Power went out, now ovens are 'locked' - how to unlock?

I DO know the lower oven door can be released by lifting gently up and to the right, and a little 'joggling' will allow the door to be opened. It seems the lock latch swings to the (almost) locked position unpredictably and intermittently. I hate this @#$% stove. So does my wife.
The upper oven door has never seized. Upper oven has burned through several elements, and it's dangerous to replace. NEVER TRY ANYTHING WHEN CIRCUITS ARE STILL LIVE.
I hate thjis stove. I REALLY DO HATE IT.

Maytag gemini oven tough controls won't work --

Check the door switch and the temperature probe. If they are ok, then the problem is likely in the control board. These boards can be rebuilt.

Purchased at Maytag Gemini MER6770 in 2000. It

Sounds like the cancel (or stop) button is making contact by itself. Clock (oven control board) may need replacement.
One option to buy it new, your part number is 12001661
Coupon "New10" chops 10% off.
Another is to send the clock to be rebuilt. Google "stove timer rebuild", you'll find plenty of companies which can repair your original clock. In case you need it, the original part number is 74004542.
To get to the clock, remove the back of the control panel. Good luck.

Check the sensor for correct ohm reading. If it is good, replace the control. It should read 1143 at 100 degrees

Maytag Gemini Stove Code F1-4 (bottom door won't open)

F-1 error is a Temperature Runaway. It Maytag's way of letting you know that oven overheated. Nothing you have done but it may have shorted out the oven sensor or the keypad. Check the sensor and see if it's closed. If it's okay, replace the keypad.
