Question about Mitsubishi VS-60607 TV
We just bought this tv used and it worked fine till I cleaned the screen. I know I was wrong in doing this, but I used a sponge with water and I believe a small amount of water leaked into the bottom part of the screen. Now there's a dark area that has streaked up the screen and I"ve tried to use a hair dryer and tried to clean with alcohol and neither works. Where it streaks up it looks like a circle in one part...not sure how to describe this...I'm wondering if water came up on the other side of the screen and is causing this problem. Is there a way to go into the tv and clean the other side of the screen? Or, do you know what I might have done and what could fix this? Please please please someone give advicce soon before hubby comes home :-) Stephanie
Take the front bottom black panel off. it pulls off. unscrew the little panel in the middle. reach up and pull the wires down gently. unplug the 2 conectors gonig to the big metal frame holding the screen in. unscrew the 2-4 screws holding the big metal frame. pull up put screen on sheet to protect it. unscrew the screws holding both of the screens in. Pull apart and clean

Well I believe I figured part of the problem out. I think there are two screens on this tv and water that touched the bottom of the screen kinda wicked itself up between the screens. It looks better today, but still like a smudge look. Does anyone know how to take the screen off?
