Image is blury it comes and goes.

Already tried another monitor and it works on my computer. So it is not the sound card.
What is that bigger diameter on the monitor's cable about 6 inches from the computer. Is there a fuse in there?
Please,help!
Thanks

Monitor comes on for 2 seconds then goes blank

Check if the cable connecting your monitor from the video card is properly secure and not loose...
You can also try this... turn off your cpu..remove the cable from your video card.....Open the housing....remove your video card from your motherboard... clean the contact surface of the video card with moisten cloth.... after cleaning...connect the video card to the motherboard...attached the cable to your video card.. close the housing and try to boot again...

I hope that work.. if not my suggestion is you try your video card in other computer, try also the monitor to other computer.. to see which one failed.

Much appreciated if you rate this help.. thanks..

Blurred image in Samsung Syncmaster732nw monitor

For best pictures, you need to set your PC video resolution to the native resolution of this monitor, which is 1280x1024 @60Hz. Try that first before opening up the monitor to look for bad components.

Try a different monitor on the computer, then if needed try another video card, then if you still have the same problem then that means the motherboard is the problem.

Everything is blury have to set screen resolution to 800by600 pixels to try too make any thing out.

Connect the monitor to a laptop -- is it still blurry?
If so, then the monitor is the problem.
If not, then your computer (the video-card?) is the problem.

Monitor wont read the harddrive

First (and I am sure you have already checked this), I would make sure all cables are connected and all power cords are connected. If the monitor comes on but there is no image I would try to use the buttons on the front of the monitor to adjust the brightness and contrast and see if this fixes the problem. If neither of these solutions work, then try a different monitor. If you try a different monitor and still it does not work, then something may be wrong with your video card inside your computer and either the video card will need to be replaced. Or you may need to buy a video card if the monitor plugs directly into the motherboard (big circuit board inside the computer). Hope this helps.

try using a ifferent dvi cable.if that doesn't work then try a different monitor.if those don't work then it migh be the onboard dvi connecter on the comp.are the images there all of the time or when the computer log ons.disconnect the monitor and see if the lines are there.if so then it is burnt in image on the screen.if not it is something vista is doing to the screen.

LCD Monitor

Hi rhymers3,

First, check that monitor power save is disabled. Right click on desktop, properties, Screen Save tab, power button. Select "Never" for the "Turn Off Monitor" drop-down box.

Also, check that the monitor itself doesn't have any power save/ sleep options enabled.

Another possibility is a faulty graphics card or faulty cable to the monitor - try moving the cable/card and see if the image comes and goes.

Try using a different (lower) display resolution. It could be that the one you currently have is just on the limits of not working with that monitor.

Good luck.

Computer turns on but i have no image on monitor

If your monitor is working, try taking all add-on cards out of your system to see if your monitor comes on. (Sound cards, modem, Network cards, etc.) If after doing this you still get no picture, very strong possibility your video card (on-board) is bad.
