My problem is a broken lcd. want to please know where i can have it fixed in any of the following countries Nigeria, Ghana or United Kingdom. I am currently a trainee at the Regional Centre for training in Aerospace Surveys in Nigeria
I suggest clicking on the link below. This will walk you thru setting up a support case in the country you are currently in.
After the case is set up you may be able to get HP to send you a box to ship the phone to them for repair.
Here is the Link
I hope this helps.

seem like all we get here are dead Ipaq.
why are you messing with this old device?
try a new battery, oops that costs money.
as does repairs on a device that has zero value.
why not mess with and old android phone, that has value.
ask here, be like only one playing Ipaq now.
i hope the ipaq is a windows based mobile, or what is also known as pocket PC. If am right, then it will not support .exe applications. Google your requirements specifying that your's is a Windows based mobile..
Here is a link to the full manual, however it says right in there to not disassemble so you will probably have to find someone's who has done it (maybe on a PDA or Ipaq forum) and ask them for direction.
If after a hard reset the PDA doesn't give you back the sms folder, it is most likely to asume that a ROM reinstall must be done. If you have a USB sync cable, check the HP site and download the ROM version for your Ipaq. Carefull with the rom upgrade, it's a simple process but must be done with care and by the instructions given there.
Try this place. http://www.pocketpctechs.com/main~unit~HP_Compaq_iPAQ_h6315-249~area~repairs~item~I63-LCD01.htm
They also show you how to tell if your LCD is broken, or just the touchscreen.
If you're good with electronics, you could also buy a dead 6315 from e-bay. one that has a good screen, and do the replacement.
