Lamp problem When initially turning the projector on the image is clear and visible, however within 1 minute the screen just goes blank and the lamp warning light flashes. You can restart over and over again but the same thing happens each time. The lamp replace light never came on prior to this it has only shown the lamp fault light. Is this a failed bulb, lamp assembly or something more sinister?? Ta in advance

I have a very similar problem. I already check the filter and cleaned it but it was not very dirty and it didn't help at all. Any other thoughts would be helpful.

same thing here. Temp inside the projector is normal, maybe its a failure of the overheat detector.

My projector turns on and the lamp comes on for about 12 seconds. Then the lamp shuts down. I cleaned the fans and filters. Still does the same thing. I opened the top cover and I saw a thermal sensor right by the lamp module. I believe it is the problem. I will replace it and if it works, I will make another post. Meanwhile, if someone has already tried this please let me know. Thanks.

Could be an overheat problem, check any fans and filters are not clogged with dust, lack of ventilation and cooling will trigger a safety shutdown

Why does the projector keep going to standby mode?

If the lamp usage time has passed 2 000 hours (when LAMP POWER has been set to NORMAL), the projector will switch to standby mode after approximately 10 minutes of operation. The resetting procedure should thus be completed within 10 minutes.

1. Insert the power cord plug into the wall outlet and then

press the MAIN POWER switch.

2. Press the POWER button so that a picture is projected onto

the screen.

3. Press the MENU button to display the menu screen, and

then press the F or G button to select the OPTION menu.

4. Press the ENTER button, and then press the F or G button

to select LAMP RUNTIME.

5. Press and hold the ENTER button for approximately

3 seconds. The confirmation screen, "LAMP RUNTIME

RESET." is displayed and select OK.

6. Turn off the power.

This will reset the cumulative usage time for the lamp
unit to zero.

Sanyo plc-xt16 Projector After the projector is turned on and the countdown finishes on initial start up the projector shuts itself off within 5 seconds. The fan runs for 1 minute and then the projector...

It sounds like the lamp is going.
Do you know how many hours of use are reported on the lamp?

Many times these projectors have circuitry to shutdown when they suspect the lamp is near the end of life. Lamp hours vary and usually will go up to and even beyond expectancy, but there is occasions you can receive a bad lamp and have it blow in a matter of hours...not common but it does occur.

I hope this helps,

Projector powers up, after 2 minutes image goes away, projector goes into cool down, then shuts off. why?

FAULT: lamp of your projector is faulty.
Experience: when lamp life is near to end and environment temperature is too low you are facing the same problem and if you are facing this problem in normal temperature then also lamp is faulty.

What does it mean when that blinking green light turns to orange one in lp 350?

Hi
This would be "Standby"
When you press standby, the display and audio turn off and a blank screen is displayed for 15 minutes.
You can change the amount of time the projector stays in standby mode; see “Standby Time” on page 27 for details.
The LED lights orange while the projector is in standby.
• If you press standby again within 15 minutes, the projector returns to normal operations immediately. The LED changes from orange to green.
• If you press standby again after 15 minutes, there is about a 60 second delay before the lamp turns back on. The LED flashes green while the lamp is re-lighting.
• If you don’t press standby again, the lamp turns off after 15 minutes. The LED lights orange while the projector is in standby.

I hope these help
