I have no problem with the c330. I am trying to get the pamphlet that explains how to use it. The box fell open when traveling and the pamphlet was long gone with the wind.

Adobe Reader X 10.0.0

Check the network path. PDF files do not open only from network folders with DFS paths.
\\mynetwork\doc\manual.pdf
And everything perfectly works if in way to specify the server:
\\myserver\doc\manual.pdf
This problem is in protected mode of the program. That Adobe Reader X didn't give out more mistakes, this mode needs to be turned off.
1. Start Adobe Reader X
2. Go into Edit - Installations ...
3. In category choose the Basic
4. Take off the checkbox "Enable protected mode at startup"
5. Restart Adobe Reader X
Everything should work.
If the file does not open, then it means it is damaged. You will be able to recover it by using Recovery Toolbox for PDF

Pdf file cannot open

What version of Reader are you using? Some newer .pdf files ure using formatting codes that older versions of Reader cannot decipher and thus fail to open. Older files will still read regardless of the version of reader. Ensure you have the most recent version of Reader and try again.

Scanning with epson dx4450 (using Windows 8) seems to generate "damageded files"

Adobe reader cannot open .jpg files. Adobe reader is designed to read files with a .pdf file extension. PDF is a quasi-universal format that's common across multiple operating systems. If your scanner will allow you to save files in .pdf format, Adobe reader should be able to open them. Otherwise, you'll have to use a picture file viewer/editor. Most versions of Windows have a picture viewer built in.

A try download a particular pdf file but each time after i download it, i get this reply when i try open it 'pdf file damaged and cannot be repaired' what exactly is d cause?

May be the file is actually damaged, or may be your PDF Reader is actually damaged.
First try to download the PDF file from different source(s) and then try opening that file.
If it doesn't work, go for different PDF Readers. Like you may try the Adobe Reader or Foxit Reader to open that file.

1. Download Adobe Reader 10.0 here
2. Download Foxit Reader 4.3 here

I have problem opening adobe pdf files. I have adobe 9 and 9.3 but does not open adobe files. It asks for adobe 4 and 7 or 8. I tried to download adobe 4,7 or 8. It says I have that version on my computer....

try the steps below:
1. Right-Click on the PDF file.
2. Select Properties
3. On the General tab,
3.1. Check the Opens with: if its set to Adobe Reader
If not, click the Change button and select Adobe Reader

If the same thing happens, Uninstall all Adobe Reader installed on your computer. It is an indication that the installation is corrupted that's why it is not being detected.

I suggest that you can try to use Foxit PDF Reader instead which for me I find very convenient in opening PDF files.

Please let me know if the following has been helpful.

Can't open on-screen manual for CanoScan LiDE 100 on Windows 7

Most likely the manual is in PDF format, go to the directory of the program concerned and look for the PDF manual, then simply double click on it and if you have Adobe Reader, it will open, if you do NOT download it and install. I suspect that with that cmview, all it does is invoke Adobe anyway.

Adobe reader error message

In Internet Explorer, when you click on a link to a pdf file,
you get the error message “Adobe Reader could not open ‘filename.fdf’ because it is either not a supported file type or because the file has been corrupted.”

This error is due to an issue with Adobe Acrobat viewing PDF files in a web browser.
Try the following:

1. Open Internet Explorer, go to Tools -> Internet Options and on the General tab to erase all temporary files, cookies and history data.
2. Under Internet Explorer -> Tools -> Internet Options, on the General tab click on Settings and make sure you select the option “Automatically” for checking for newer versions of the stored pages. Then attempt to open the PDC file again.
3. If solutions 1 and 2 do not work then uninstall Adobe Acrobat, then reinstall it again.
It seems that Acrobat 6 is more prone to this error so upgrading to Acrobat 7 may solve the problem.

All d best.

Any furthur help feel free to ask me again i will be more than happy to assist you.
