Brother PE770 Hoop size programming stuck on small hoop option

My Brother PE770 is stuck programmed on the small hoop and won't change its programming to the medium or large hoop regardless if I press the buttons to program it to the other hoop sizes or if I actually put those hoops on the machine.

Your machine would be able to perform 5 X 8 embroideries. The hoop size on this machine is recognized by the machine itself, depending of the embroidery file size. So it the embroidery is small, it will indicate that the small hoop is needed.

But U can use the large hoop, position the embroidery where U want then perform another embroidery on the sams hoop.

TRICK : the embroidery size exceeds the hoop? reduce it in X and or Y using this function on the machine

SOURCE: I bought a large hoop for my machine. But I still

From what I have been able to find out about this model, the embroidery area is limited to 4 x 4.

A larger hoop cannot change the built-in configuration of the machine's computer.

You can use a larger hoop, stitch out what you can and then re-hoop to finish - this is not easy to do.

Measuring the distance between the letters and then centering the last letter to match the previous stitching can be done, but it takes a little practice.

You can make a template using tear away stabilizer.

Stitch out the first 5 letters. Carefully remove the stabilizer - this is going to be a portion of the template.

Hoop another sheet of tear-away and stitch out the last 5 letters (these will partially overlap the first 5 when finished). Remove as in the first step.

Overlap the two templates (tape them together) and this should help you align the letters when you have to re-hoop.

Testing and a bit of practice is how I do it.

There is editing software for splitting designs and if you are interested - check Embird as it seems to be the most reasonable.

PE770 thread seems to be getting hung up on metal hook behind bobbin assembly

If thread is getting wrapped behind the bobbin assembly, most likely your machine needs service as thread behind the bobbin assembly should not be a normal occurrence.

When I install embroidery hoop light keeps blinking n saying wrong hoop size looked it up n it's saying malfunction

Ok, there are a couple of possibilities, and I'm going to include an image. I"m not sure whether you're trying to use the small or large hoop, but the first thing you should try is turn off the machine, take the hoop off entirely, then turn on the machine without anything and let it reset to its default position, which will be the center. If it has a problem there, make sure the needle it at its highest position.

Next, put the large hoop on, bring up a design, (preferably a design that came with your machine--there are sample designs in the \Library directory where the program is--that's generally in c:\program files\futuraquartet--and is designed for the hoop you're trying to use, and transmit to machine. If it tells you the hoop is the wrong size, download a patch from www.futura-support.com. If it STILL tells you you have the wrong size, reseat your USB cable into the machine and tape it in place with masking or duct tape.

The third possibility--and the one pictured in the photo I'm going to attach--is there is a tab on your hoop which indicates the hoop size, and your TAB may be off. It needs to be dead center of the sensor, which is also pictured. A while ago a BUNCH of hoops were manufactured with the tabs slightly off, and if it's off, your machine can't read the size. What generally happens there, though, is it will indicate that there is NO hoop attached, rather than the wrong size.

You can see the sensors--they're inside the arm where you put your hoop, and they're not covered up. Below it are the large hoop (top), and small hoop (bottom). The hoop tabs have to match up to the sensors exactly, and you'll be able to see if it doesn't by matching up the notch in the hoop that matches the catch in the embroidery arm.

How can I change the recommended hoop size for small embroidery on my Designer 1?

Make absolutely certain that the length & width of the pattern does not exceed the maximum allowed by the hoop you want to use. If you are close to the limits of these dimensions (say 98x98 for a 100x100 hoop), try resizing slightly smaller (like 95x95) and see what happens.

Cant get my design to go small enough and it says the size but it still keeps telling me to use the xlarge hoop

you'll need to resize it via TruSizer program. The problem with that is often the stitches are too dense and will cause other problems

Have a se270d and just purchased ped basic. Put designs on card and put card in machine, but it won"t read the card at all. No error message or anything, but it does recognize there is a card present....

Check the design size and format.

The 270 is limited to a 4 x 4 hoop and the design must fit inside this measurement without the foot hitting the hoop.

The format must be pes

For the HV #1+ embroidery unit, using the plus hoop and embroider

Hi!

You can find the solution by following these steps-

Slide in embroidery card 21 and companion cassette. Touch Embroidery ON.

Touch FUNC to Program mode, The “E” inside the hoop will appear on the left end of the Program display window. If Plus Hoop programming is desired, touch the rotational arrow E one time and you will see the hoop in the Programdisplay window change into a Plus Hoop with a small arrow pointing to the top portion of the hoop, indicating position 1.

Toward the right side of the Program display window are
F1 S1 M1. F1 = Font style (1, 2 or 3), S1 = Size (1 or 2) and M1 = Menu (1, 2 or 3).

FONT: Select 1. Palace Script 2. Clarendon (block) 3. Kalligraphia

(Note: Programmed letters are always displayed in block)

SIZE: Select 1. Large 30mm 2. Small 12mm
MENU: Select 1. Upper case, 2. Lower case, or 3. Numbers and Symbols—check Program display for upper or lower case indication.
Note: You must select the Font, Size and Menu before selecting the letter desired.
Do rate the solution accordingly.

Thanks
