Changing VAT rate on Casio CE-3410

You need to follow the table for tax rate programming. If you use multiple taxes, set the rate for tax1, tax2, or tax3 etc. Most VAT is done via tax1 only. If you have lost your manual, most cash register manuals are here http://the-checkout-tech.com/

You may have changed the key feature settings for CASH accidentally. Try this:
Turn key to program mode 0 CASH SUBTOTAL 3 SUBTOTAL 0 CASH SUBTOTAL
Turn key back to REG mode and try it - you may have to sign a clerk on

It sounds like you didn't finish programming before you turned the key. Try turning back to program and press SUBTOTAL, then back to REG.

Turn key to program.

That should allow you a post receipt.

To set dept names:


Turn key to program.
2 SUBTOTAL
Department number
05
SUBTOTAL
Type new name
CASH
SUBTOTAL

If it gives an error when pressing CASH, then repeat, but press 00 button before CASH (some models need this).

VAT is value added tax which is straight percentage. program tax one or two for the percentage and make sure your departments are set up taxable or non taxible. prgm 2 is vat probably and program 1 will be for dept. generally with casio.

Has it had the system options set for tax? Was it calculating previously? Usually you just need to change the rate when you have a tax increase.

Hi. we don't have this model. it is very old now. But, it is probably similar to some of ours, so I'll give you the usual info, and it will probably work.

The first thing to do is turn the key to each mode, and press your CASH key. If the drawer opens, then that was your problem.
If it doesn't, then try a flag clear:

Turn the power off at the wall.
Hold the RECEIPT FEED button down while turning the power back on at the wall.
Wait 5 seconds.
Let go of RECEIPT FEED.
You should see 'FFFFFFFFF' on the display.
press SUBTOTAL.
It should print out.
Turn the key back to Reg mode.
