Format hi i want to format my toshiba satellite A70, but i seem to have misplaced the cd... where can i get a new one?.. is it possible to download a free one off the internet?? thx

A service manual may be found on the Toshina website. Search using the make and model of your notebook.

Hi,

Yes, reseting your laptop to original setting is possible.
It is called as formatting.If you format all the content in laptop will be lost.Please take back up and then format it.

Please get the boot up CD for your operating system(windows 2000 ,XP)

Put the CD in drive and restart the laptop.
It ask 'reboot from CD'.
Give enter it will start formatting the laptop.After formatting the laptop will be brought to original settings

you´ll need to know the submodel to get the correct drivers for your system

There must be a small part locking mechanism that broke or lose thread inside your dvd drive. gently open it and you will see it.
