There is a lot involved in replacing these speakers. You should also know that the original factory speakers are 10 ohm speakers. This means that if you replace them with new speakers (most of which are 4 ohm) you run the risk of damaging the stereo, the speakers, or both. This can also cause a potential fire hazard in your car. If you want new speakers, you really should look at installing a new stereo as well.

To get to the back speakers, you will need to remove 2 bolts located under the front edge of the rear seat (bottom). After you remove the bottom, you will need to remove the rear seat (back). This involves removing the bolts that hold down the rear seat belts, which is a large sized torx bit (T-45, T-47, or T-50... Don't remember which). After removing these, lift straight up on the seat back to remove. Now remove the deck brake light housing, and the bracket that holds it. Now the deck cover can be removed. Be careful not to bend it too much getting it out from under the side trim on both sides.

For the front speakers, you must disassemble a good portion of the dash. Remove the screw holding the light switch and the wiper switch housings. This screw is underneath each housing. Once removed, there are dash mounting screws behind them. These screws (and many of the other dash screws) are a smaller torx-bit (T-10 or T-15, don't remember which). Sometimes they use a 7mm bolt. There is a cover panel just above the glove box. This panel is held on with 2 screws located in the glove box. After removing this panel, you will find 2 or 3 bolts holding on the dash. Last but not least, you will find 2 bolts inside each of the defroster vent grilles. These grilles just snap out for easier access to the bolts.

I did it by carefully removing the grills from above. They are glued at the clips. Just take your time and work them slowly from the right and left. A lot easier than removing all the trim.

Removing an alternator from a 1991 Mercury free xr2 turbo

Disconnect the battery so you don't melt your fingers. Remove the belt by relieving the pressure at the belt tensioner. Remove the alternator wiring harness and the two or 3 long bolts that hold the alternator on. Swap for the new alternator and put it all back together.

How do I remove the backseat of my 91 regal in order to install after market speakers?

Most rear seats you must remove seat section first .Grab front edge of seat & pull up. Then bolts for back of seat should be at the bottom at what would be the floor.Top should be on what I would call hooks , so the back must be slid upwands after bolts are out.Hope I'm not leading you in the wrong direction and you have bolts holding front of seat down! Check along front edge to ensure this is not the case

Remove front rotor on 91 f250 4x4 manual lock out

I must be missing something. It should be fairly straightforward. It is pretty much just unpinning the brake caliper and hanging it so that it's weight is supported and removing the brake rotor. Put down the Chilton manual that you are using and go to the autozone.com website and register the truck. It's free and will give you access to an online repair manual. The steps for changing the brake rotors can be found there. There are pics and diagrams and the steps for removing the caliper/pads and brake rotor can be found there. (unless I am missing something) Hope this helped and best wishes.

Front speakers only produce static

The amps are on each of the speakers. There is a place in Florida that will fix them for around $85.00 each plus shipping. I put a sony unit in mine and replaced all of the speakers with the kicker ds series for less than fixing the bose system.

Different tire sizes...

I've always heard that it is ok to put different size tires on the front and back as long as the vehichle is not AWD.  The two different size tires turn at different rates and can cause problems for you.  I would probably change the other two.

Removing the old Speakers

Under your rear seat in front where you put your feet, there are 2 plastic tabs you pull down on to release the seat, from there lift the seat up.
Then if i remember correctly, your going to need a wrench to take out to bolts that hold the back of the seat in, and from there its pretty self explanitory.
